This.
The oline will be little better next year. It looks like Pruitt is going to sacrifice the first two years in the hopes fhat he can recruit well enough in the meantime to make year 3 a success.
It's a gamble.
So being one of the top rated SEC qbs with some top 4 or 5 stats means he isn't an SEC qb?The question to ask is this: Is JG ever going to be an SEC level QB? NO. Time to cut bait and move on.
Are you secretly being paid by JG or possibly a member of his inner circle of friends or family ?So being one of the top rated SEC qbs with some top 4 or 5 stats means he isn't an SEC qb?
Beating two top 25 teams and being NPOTW for one of the wins means a qb isn't an SEC qb?
Y'all did that to Dobbs too. Sad.

Dobbs is 10 times better than JG.
Dobbs can run. JG can't or won't
Dobbs threw a nice deep ball. JG's deep ball is an Underthrown jump ball
JG has the arm, he just needs the brain. Maybe that'll come over time with himIMO being stubborn about keeping JG at the helm was the biggest mistake all season. I realize that it's easy to blame the QB but he's clearly not capable of generating sufficient offense for Tn to be competitive consistently. Allowing Chryst to get more reps and gel with this offense earlier in the season would I believe made the difference in a few games like South Carolina and possibly Vandy. JG got tons of grace from throwing up a few 50 50 balls successfully. The guy is really is not very dynamic and has NO RUNNING ABILITY. Itll be extremely discouraging to see him at the top of the depth chart next season. Thoughts on the chances are that Pruitt moves to start a freshman next seaon?

5th ypa, 2nd interceptions.Well, Dobbs and Guarantano are now the only 2 QBs to lose to Vandy twice in 90 years. So they've got that, too.
And I just looked at ESPN, and JGs highest ranking is 6th (yards/attempt). Everything else is 8th or worse.
12th in completions, 13th in attempts, 8th in percentage, 11th in yards, 17th in longest, 11th in TDs, 8th in rating.
5th ypa, 2nd interceptions.
And before the aberration of Vandy, one of his two worst games, he was top four in rating, completion percentage and ypa.
Long pass is not a stat you judge a qbs performance on. That is why it isn't listed in the relevant stats. An option qb could have a 99 yard pass. That doesnt mean he is a good passer.
Attempts are a combination of coaching philosophy, defensive stops, and all offensive players ability to extend drives. If we didn't have so many drive killing false starts or holds he would have many more attempts. Also if the coaches weren't so conservative due to the line or philosophy.
Completions go along with the attempts.
Top four in percentage and rating the whole year. He did have a bad game that brought that down.
Either way he is CLEARLY a SEC qb. Same with Dobbs.
Most people and the outsiders see that a sophomore first year starter with two top 25 wins and who completed 62% plus with a 4/1 td/int ratio and 140 rating is a great asset to have returning to start next year.

JG is behind just Tua and Fromm as far as returning qbs. Qb rating point or two difference it doesn't matter. He is better than Franks and Bentley.
