In the attached article in 2015 you will see that he was interviewed about Comet Pizza and he mentions storing large amounts of products in the basement. I will make it easy for you, it is near the bottom of article right below a photo of him squatting on a metal type rack holding a red paddle.
The sentence starts with, "Like our sauce---we harvest a whole crop of organic tomatoes--10 tons of tomatoes every year. Can them all, store them in the basement, have a harvest party when it gets loaded in."
He also has a larger basement in his other larger restaurant just two doors down, Bucks Fishing and Camping.
