In addition to that he lied under oath when stating there was "no DNI"

James Clapper was DNI until January 20, 2017

1) White House - notified July 2016
2) Congress - recently (Feb/Mar 2017)
3) DNI - Jim Clapper not notified. Dan Coats notified Jan 2017

one way or the other, this will probably be true.

still kinda expect it to all blow over though. No one in DC wants to see politicians going to jail. Hits a little too close to home for them.

And this is exactly why it needs to happen. They do not, regardless of what they feel, have any importance other than managing the desires, expectations, and beliefs of their constituency that elected them. They are not important, and they need to be put on notice that the career of being a politiician is over, they are duty bound as a public servant, not a political savant.
