I don’t have a favorite goat but I do have a chicken who gets treated better than the others.

It's funny how that works isn't it. My daughter has a favorite chicken as well.

As a wee child, I spent half a year in a cinder block house on my maternal grandparents' property - ten acres on the Savannah River delta. The family next door had a boy about my age with whom I played. They kept chickens. I liked the chickens but was scared of the rooster. Dadgum rooster would approach me with his head cocked to one side, making muted noises, and high-steppin' to show off his spurs. I did not visit too often. Mostly, we played on my grandparents' property.
