Too many turnovers from the team aside, this kid showed absolutely NOTHING today. Plays with no heart, no hustle, no fire. If I were Cuonzo I'd bench him and let Tatum play point guard like he did today. Absolutely horrible effort and unacceptable against the #2 team in the country and our huge rival. Piss poor.

The long 3 he attempted changed the game, it was a terrible shot, they go down and hit a 3 the next possession.

We were having success inside, should have kept it there.

Kentucky is probably the best team in the nation. They would make anyone look bad. We'll see how things go when Stokes gets going.

I'm pretty sure basketball is a team game. Let's point to every missed shot by other teammates before pinning it on one guy. Basketball is probably the best example of a team game. Grow up, OP.

Why do some of you always need to put the loss on one player?

We were leading as a team, and we lost as a team. That's it.

People are basically losers. Sure some things could have been done better, but all I could think of is how proud I am of these guys.. Hate it more for the players. Seriously to come on here after that effort and start dogging our own players. You are a loser punk

So enlightening to hear the thoughts of the posters that only come around after losses.

Usually I don't like you. But this +1.

Played a great team very close. Can't wait till see Stokes when he understands the schemes better and starts meshing with the team mates.

For all you Golden fanboys, please enlighten me. How did he contribute today? Did he do anything? He had 6 assists which was the only positive for him. In 31 minutes he scored two points. Two. He's the new Scotty Hopson.

The problem is that an 18 yo, who should be in HS, who playing in his 1st game sets foot on the court and is the best player on the team instantly. UT has mediocre to poor gaurd play. Maymon will REALLY benefit from Stokes. UT had a lead, stokes went to bench and the team lost all the lead within minutes. That was the big swing in the game. Facts are that all these guys can learn a lot from Stokes. He isn't great because he has size 20 shoes. He is great because he works harder than anyone already on that team. And that is an indictment to Tatum, Hall, and the rest of the upper classman. Hopefully it will rub off.

If you think Golden played with any effort today you need to put down the whiskey.

He played his ass of at Miss State and played defense today. . .I love how he's been bashed two games in a row after taking two top 20 teams to the wire. . .

Lol sorry you feel that way. Yeah, it really looks like we're going to continue to improve. And we're not that bad to begin with.

You're a loser if you have a full ride to UT and play with no effort against your biggest rival and the #2 team in the nation. You defenders of Golden have yet to give a single example of what he did today that helped us win.

He didn't have a good game. However, it's a team game. Stokes could have scored more, Maymon could have scored more, Hall could have scored more... win and lose as a team, especially in basketball.

Dude, everyone is frustrated with his boneheaded plays. No one's denying that he could be better, but he gives the team the best chance to win. This is what happens with a team after a major scandal and dramatic coaching change. Chill. Overall, we're exceeding expectations for the season. Sure, our record could be better, but we're playing with heart and determination.

So because he played good last game, he doesn't have to play hard this game? Great logic. You must've LOVED Scotty Hopson. You guys are just talking out of your asses you can't defend Golden's performance today just admit it. It'd be totally different if he played with effort and heart and only scored 2 points. HE WALKED THE BALL UP THE COURT WITH 19 SECONDS LEFT. If you guys are satisfied with that then that really says something.

We lost to a better UK team by less than last year and play with heart on defense. . .after getting home at 3am on Friday. WTF are you complaining about?
