Put This Game Behind Us....

Secondary looked sorry for a majority of the game. D line had some good moments and bad moments; overall I’m very worried.

We were missing arguably our best corner and had to put a true freshman on the field. If shamburger was in the game, I don’t think Smith has as big a game.

I'm happy to have football. I'm happy to see the Orange playing. With very little practice and a couple of D-linemen out, I expected a clumsy game. I'm glad we won that clumsy game.

Go Vols. 1-0.

Muschamp lost like Vandy loses. The night wasn't all bad.

Biggest surprises to me today:

1) we played only one QB (and it was JG)

1a) JG made good decisions most of the time. Took fewer sacks than I expected and threw no INTs

2) first half was free from any dumb penalties

3) offensive line did not look as good as I expected

4) defense was confused and out of place. No consistency. I thought the unit would be much better.

I thought our defense looked gassed in the second half

It was painfully obvious tonight that we missed Shamburger. JG is what he is. But if our perimeter defense doesn't get better more physical teams are gonna kill us with the edge running game. Our ends consistently either got collapsed down or ran themselves out of their gap

Had hoped to see some killer instinct and the Vols put em' away when they had the chance. Unfortunately, we've not had that trait in a while.

It was an awful performance but luckily pulled out the W.

Forget this game, look at the film, and move on to Missouri.

Pruitt needs to figure out the QB situation because it almost cost him tonight.
Lol, Vegas had this as a 3 point game 44 over under, I guess you know more than them? Wins on the road are great no matter what. You guys expect too much.

God we pulled out the win. I expected a hard fought game (as usual with these guys), but the W is what we wanted, and we got it.

JG just HAS to get better with his throws, Banks can’t commit stupid penalties, and the defensive line needs a better rotation late in games because they started to get pushed around after a while.

I feel you. It's just so hard when it's obvious the talent of this team is enough to be a top 10 program but performs like it's a group 5 school.

Bad staff still looks bad
What's baffling is, this staff is actually a good staff, but when you coach for TN you crap the bed. Seriously. I'm convinced if you had this staff at any other program they would be fine. Actually, history proves it. Look at the success this staff has had at their previous stops. It's like they forget how to coach once they get to TN lol.

JG wasn't under pressure tonight like years past, that's a nice change. He had plenty of time to throw, yet he still over threw, under threw, threw behind all of his receivers. JG lovers please step in and explain why he's still the best option. He may be the worst QB in Tennessee history. I'll take an ugly win, but you guys need to stop the JG excuse/love train, cause he's bad, possibly the worst ever.

Maybe they worked hard to get here and the pay that comes with it! Now they are just coasting!
