Several Purdue fans were apologizing during after the game. One offer to pay for our meal and drinks. Not sure if this has been posted but my illiterate self bought tickets in the Purdue section. Fortunately I wasn’t the only Tennessee fan who did this and we ended up taking over the section. However after the game literally every fan I spoke with honestly felt bad that the game ended how it did. Almost every Purdue fan said that touchdown should have stayed lol. Not arguing and I’ve moved on but just thought it was crazy 90% of the fans in our section honestly felt bad that it was called not a TD. I had a great time and very proud to be a VOL fan. Fans deserve a lot of credit! Go Vols
If the Music City Bowl ever extends an invitation to Tennessee again, I say we decline. Out of principal. Even if that means missing a bowl game in a winning season. I am to that point.
I can understand maybe one bad game on a blown call, but this has been done to us twice now at the Music City Bowl. And both situations were egregiously wrong. Even worse than the Ole Miss game this year, or any Florida game we’ve ever had. Never again.

The MCB was fully responsible for a crappy (dangerous, too) field, but, what control do the have over a crappy officiating crew?
nothing like seeing a UT game in person60+ year old Perdue fan in front of me was about to start a fight when the UT fans started booing the Perdue band during the drum line competition during the one TV break. He came around and became more friendly after I started chanting Let's go Brandon every time they started chanting Let's go Boilermakers.
But then the UT fan in the seat behind me fell on me at one point and later was ejected for urinating off the side of the upper deck concourse in the 2nd quarter because the line at the restroom was too long.
Good times.
Thanks for taking the time to clarify your opinion, brother. I'm PO'd, too. But, i don't have enough evidence to blame the MCB, itself. But, I'm always open to incitement. They may have no control over selecting officials, or in game officiating. It’s just somewhat odd to me the two worst calls in the history of our program occurred there. In bowl games no less. A rule that was literally changed by the NCAA following the UNC game.
Is it going to happen again? Can any other team in the history of college football say they have had two bowls blown by rules that were changed the following year, after the fact? I doubt it.
Even if there is no wrong doing, or conspiracy, I still wouldn’t want to give an opportunity for the same scenario to play out again on that field.
No, not particularly cosmopolitan but perhaps not so redneck as to spew vulgarities at a teenage girl wearing a Purdue sweatshirt. Ticket price entitles you to entry into the game not a pass to be a complete a$$ hole.Indiana ..... so cosmopolitan. (eyeroll)

For further clarity I am a UT Alum and that was my niece that was verbally accosted.
