you have to remember. Bray is the first QB that Chaney has actually got to coach, that hasn't been ran through a dozen different other systems. So yeah, they played Memphis but Simms didn't come close to that at the UT Martin game.

UT-Martin Simms 14-24 181yds 1TD
Memphis Bray 19-33 325yds 5TD

It appeared as though Jim was doing it on purpose. Meline got a chance, and "Stocker's drive" was cut short by that hit.

We were running the ball a lot more in that game, Hunter nor Rogers were any where near where they are now, either.

let me simplify it a couple of you. I'm well aware memphis' defense sucks. Do you think with bray's ability combined with chaney's offense style we can move the football effectively on high caliber defenses commonly found on our schedule?

One game against inexperienced corners and the second to worst defense in the FBS does not a Brees clone make.

im not trying to be a smarta$$. Really, i was just trying to make conversation about the offense. I started my post with "i know it was memphis" and still get blasted with replies saying "it was memphis". Maybe i'm just excited about the win. Idk

We're all excited about the the win.

Having said that, it's impossible to know how good Bray is until we play better teams. He has all the physical tools you want in a pro style QB.

Now if our OL could just keep him clean, we'll be in business.

i agree, it's bad to say, i hope bray is as tough as simms when he does take a lick. Bray's build in general gives the impression that he could be fragile in the sec. I hope not.

Smart asses are just razzin ya for now.
If Bray starts next year 3-3 with a win over Florida, I'll put his 'Fathead' on the side of my house.
