Interesting that John Brice just said Vols are having punter tryouts next week to try to find a backup punter. Didn't know we didn't have a backup

Kicker should take over if needed in a game. No sense wasting time looking for a punter unless an injury would happen. If that happened, then you have 1 week to look for a walk on.

Tommy Townsend transferred to UF & I believe we have one other walk-on on the roster so we need to probably look for another one so I see the reason for this.

Daniel can really punt the ball but what would we do if he got hurt? I would let Medley be the punter in that scenario but evidently not so for the coaching staff.

At least you guys have a punter....ours punted for an average of 40 yards last game. Hell, High School punters can kick the ball further then that.
