Punt Returner???

I'm sure after last years pathetic excuse for a Punt Return game that Dooley and CO. will be looking to solve this problem. I know Eric Gordon,Young,Teague etc... Will all be considered but does anyone know if there is a favorite going into spring practice? And what about Kick returners?

Dooley has already said it will probably be an incoming Freshman. Probably Devrin Young, followed by either Dallas or Arnett.

I wouldn't say it's wasted if he doesn't do much as a true freshman.

If he's a junior and still not returning, yes it's a waste.

Dooley being a lawyer found a loop-hole and has been granted 1yr of eligibility to return punts. I dont know about his wiggle but atleast he will catch it:dance2:

Yes. But expectations need to be tempered his freshman year... if he isn't producing by his sophomore and junior seasons then he is a bust.

Young's speed and vision as a returner at the HS level was unbelievable...no fumbles either. If he can transfer this to the big show there is no reason for him to not be the guy. He'll get the first look this Spring for sure.

While not a true "burner" in comparison to the likes of the aforementioned Gault or Scott Young's best of 10.70 in the 100m would have taken the TN state title 7 times since 2000. As it was he took 2nd last year with a 10.74 I believe.

Whatever problems he may have on the football field for the Vols speed really isn't one of them.
