"Pundits" Believe Kentucky Will Have A Better Record Than Tennessee

Why is anyone hyping them up. Against all the good SEC teams they played last year, they were 0-4. They won the games they should, and lost the games they should. Will be very similar this year, looking at another 6-6 or 7-5 season.

Hype means nothing.

I just don't see it unless Butch just completely falls apart this season.

Who cares?

I don't know why y'all are whining about this? We got unprecedented love the last two years from the pundits during the off-season. Where did that get us?

I actually enjoy the hate and disrespect we're getting this year. It will only make winning the SEC championship this year all the more sweet.

Kentucky will not have more wins, just as they do not have as many teeth.

I predict UK will have five wins this year.

I dont really see us being very good.

But i dont see Kentucky being better than us.

Most likely the pundits are tired of picking Tennessee and looking stupid bit they have to put someone in the mix with Georgia and Florida and Kentucky is the only other option.

First of all, nobody is whining about this. Second of all, I'm not sure if you've watched us play before, but even if we beat Bama, Georgia, and Florida, we'll still find a way to lose against Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and South Carolina. That's what i've seen the last couple of years atleast. You can sunshine pump if you want, but in reality there wasn't much change from last years team. Kamara, Malone, and Barnett were all huge blows which definitely won't help our chances.

Josh, it's just the usual June horse crap. Nothing much going on in SEC sports, and these guys need to pay the bills. And if Butch was going to completely fall apart, I would think it would have happened last year.

Kentucky is going to be better than they have been in a long time. But if the Vols take care of their business and do not play like they were already beaten like they did THAT day, I like our odds.

BTW, isn't this a November game? We got time before we get all tied up on these guys.

Somebody call the White House, and tell them to declare a national holiday. D4H said something that makes sense.

You feeling OK? Call you a doc? Aspirin? Chicken Soup?

The one thing I hate about this is IF....(gawd forbid) we only go 7-5 it gives Butch the perfect excuse to say "Hey...nobody expected anything of us this year. You saw where all the experts predicted we'd be...and we exceeded expectations....went to another bowl game...and when's the last time this University made a bowl game this many consecutive years. This is a process...and sometimes when you're trying to build something great you have minor setbacks in the growth of that process. We're a very young team...and this is all a part of the building process and the maturation of this program". Even if you LOVE Butch..you know that's almost exactly what he would say.

I pray that doesn't happen. I'd rather Butch emerge as the big time stud coach of the SEC...just sayin'.

(1) I just don't see us ever losing to Vandy. But we have lost to Vandy 4 times since 2005.
(2) I just don't see us ever losing to Kentucky. but we did in 2012.
(3) I don't see U.T. having an NFL draft in which no player was drafted. Well, that happened two N.F.L. drafts ago.

Give a narrative enough time and cherries galore to pick! North Texas State or Rutgers anyone?

UK plays both the MS teams. UT plays Bama and LSU.

There's several scenarios that UT could have same record as UK even with UK receiving their annual a-s whipping from us

Well, UK broke through and achieved their goal-- a bowl game. And it was a better bowl game than anybody expected, plus they tied UT and UGA in the SECE. They overachieved, while UT underachieved. The feeling around their program is optimistic and trending positive. The feeling around UT has turned negative and our upward momentum stalled. Did we plateau... or did we peak? With all the uncertainty around UT and Butch Jones, UT isn't going to get much love. We need to beat GT and climb from there. Until then, UT is going to be kicked around in the media. Hopefully, it motivates the team.
