Pull for the conference?

I can't do it. Call me bitter or whatever, but I cannot root for my rivals. Tennessee is the only team I care about doing well. If I'm watching another conference's games I'll pick a team in that particular game to root for to make it more fun, but I can't bring myself to pull for the Tide, Dawgs, Gata, etc.

It is hard to pull for teams that you hate!

I would cheer for ND and OSU ONLY if it means that UT or FSU would play for a NC.

If pulling for UF means that......I'm not sure I could do it. I think I would rather finish 3rd in the country than EVER pull for UF!!!!!!! I would pull for Hitler or Stalin over UF!

I would have to say that I kinda pull for the SECOND except for the GAMECOCKS. Wow I live just south of Charlotte and there fans are the worst because I hear it every year how they will compete in the East. Hahahaha they will never be able to do that. Can't wait for that game will be making the trip with a bunch of Carolina fans should be fun ! GO VOLS !

South Carolina fans are the worst. And Sc is an embarrasment to the conference. Way to show up against Iowa in the bowl game, fellas. Top off my gas why don't ya?

I work at the University of Washington, and will be going to the game against LSU. Part of me wants to cheer for UW, but the other part of me knows that my friends will give me crap about the Pac-10 beating an SEC team if they beat LSU.

If I think it will make the conference look stronger nationally, I usually pull for the SEC (like UGa vs OK St this weekend). However, USC-lite really will impress nobody by beating NC State so I would love to see the Game-chickens get embarrased (also because I have found their fans increasingly more annoying after they finally beat us & immediately thought they should move to the NFL)

And....I will never pull for the Gumps :bammer:

the only other SEC team i pull for against other teams is florida. as much as i hate the gators, my sister is a huge fan, so i (begrudgingly) support them on my sister's behalf. if that's not being a good brother, i don't know what is.

Even though Alabama is representing our conference, I can't do it. I hate Alabama. I hate every SEC team except Tennessee. Even if Tennessee ends up in the polls mid-season, and we'd get a bigger boost by beating an undefeated Alabama, as opposed to Alabama with a few losses, I can't do it.
I know there are money and exposure factors. If the SEC sucked and everybody always lost, we wouldn't get the TV deals we have - and the better everyone plays, we all benefit financially. But when it comes down to Saturdays on the field, I can't do it. I can't cheer them on. I hate Alabama. I hope Tech kills them.

A Big Hell Yes on RockyTopVol's comment...... There is no way that I am rooting for UF or Bama or even Georgia... I live in Ky so I root for the cats.. But how could you root for flipping Florida...:)

I am for the first time in my life a Hokie fan and a Charleston Southern fan when Saturday rolls around. I don't care if UF or Bama ever win again. The SEC CG last year was unbearable. My hopes were that the earth would open up and swallow both teams.
