Yeah lets add PR which makes Mississippi look like Luxembourg in terms of wealth and quality of life...

Spend a week in Orlando away from the tourist areas and you'll realize how terrible of an idea it is to have them not just as a state, but even as a territory.

Okay, Northern Cal gets rolled into Oregon (should help balance the votes there), NY outside of NYC gets rolled into PA and VT.

We get rid of DC with an even swap for the Virgin Islands. That keeps everything even.

It's kind of funny because while statehood would open them up to federal income tax, 40% of the population is below the poverty line. So not only will they pay no tax, they'll have huge refundable credits coming their way. A real testament to our jacked up tax system.

I think we should cut them loose. A lot has changed in 120 years, we don't really need them for anything strategically anymore.

And more people on welfare and food stamps. They just voted to become the 51st state. I say we strike a deal. Send us your hotties and we won't let you become a state. Otherwise you won't become a state anyway. It's doa in the Senate.
