Public Believes Media in Tank for Obama

I really am shocked that only 70% believe that. The media is somewhere in the 90+% range democrat.

That said, the media does an astounding job of retaining its objectivity.

I agree. Most poltical websites always seems to have more info and stories on Obama. The views seem to favor him on those sites. Also, last night I was checking out some stuff on my comcast "on demand" feature. They had a presidental election option then it let you select by republican or democrat. They had 4-5 times the amount of videos and other options for Barack. McCain only had several things you could view. Maybe not intentional, but it drew my attention.

And yet, as much as the media are held in contempt by the public and as much as they are, as you put it, "in the tank" for Obama, he's leading by 7 points.

and he should, by all rights, be leading this race by 20 pts. Bush has been a disaster and an awful economic news month over the past 30 days should lead to an absolute blowout.

Sifting through a bit says Obama's not quite the magical candidate he's being painted to be. In fact, I would argue that only a socialistic, empty suit could make the race this close.

The two are somewhat independent events. Even Obama supporters recognize that the media supports their guy.

i don't know about 7, i've seen ranges from 7 to 1.

this does prove that if you tell a lie long enough, people will eventually believe it.

You are so wrong. The only reason Obama isn’t leading by 20 points is because of all of the racist out there. In fact you are a racist for not admitting that racism is the reason that Obama is only leading by 7 points. If McCain were black and Obama white, Obama would lead by 50 points because of racism. If Obama doesn’t win it will be because this is a racist country.

Add up the ratings/mkt share of Fox + any show Glenn Beck is on + right-wing talk radio + the New York Post. Does that equal just 10%?
