It's gonna be an awesome E3.

:eek:hmy: Damn! Sony is holding their conference at the freaking L.A. Memorial Sports Arena?? Doesn't that hold something like 15,000 people?? I don't want to set myself up for disappointment but I HAVE to think they have a lot cool s_hit planned to show if they're doing it in a venue as large as this!

I also saw this. Sony will be broadcasting their conference live at select movie theaters. Probably won't be at any near me but some might get lucky enough to be able to go see it.

I'll just stream it online like I do every year.

I'd imagine some Last of Us movie stuff. Definitely Uncharted 4 gameplay. And if I had to put money on it, probably an Uncharted 1-3 remastered for PS4.

Definitely Uncharted 4. I loved the first 3 but I am so sick of remastered games. It seems like there are so many already.

Get ready to be disappointed then because they are coming! I know a lot of gamers complain about them, but the reality is they sell extremely well and serve as a great way to subsidize the cost of developing new games. Here's a list of re masters that either we know of or are heavily rumored...

Kingdom Hearts 1&2 HD Re mastered (confirmed)
God of War 3 HD Re mastered (confirmed)
Gears of War HD Re mastered (confirmed)
Uncharted Trilogy HD Re mastered (rumored)
Mass Effect Trilogy HD Re mastered (rumored)
Batman Arkham Series HD Re mastered (rumored)
Bioshock Trilogy HD Re mastered (rumored)
Resident Evil 2 HD Re mastered (rumored)
Call of Duty Modern Warfare HD Re mastered (rumored)
Fallout 3/New Vegas and/or Skyrim (rumored)

Jesus. Don't get me wrong they are all great games but this is just lazy by the people making the games. We the consumers let this happen though so I don't blame them for making an easy buck (or million).

But at the same time, with the lack of backwards compatibility and the fact that my PS3 yellow-lighted a long time ago, I've been looking forward to several of these.

If FO4 isn't announced, a FO3:RM coming out in the short-term would be really nice. I tried to play New Vegas on my crappy laptop a while back. Wasn't the same.

Call of Duty Remastered, though? Are you kidding me? Is it that difficult to just make a 28th installment of CoD?

The Modern Warfare games were more fun than Ghosts/Advanced Warfare

I liked Spec Ops. It was the one with all the mini-games in online multiplayer, right?

Or maybe they all have that. I just haven't played much CoD in the past 5 years.

I understand that with the lack of backward compatibility but after I beat a game/story once I get bored when I try to play it again.

Well, I know at least from Sony's perspective, they recognize that a lot of PS4 owners were previously 360 owners who jumped ship and never had an opportunity to play the PS3 exclusive IP's like Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War, etc. So this is an opportunity for those gamers to get to experience those games on a better format with better graphics.

Also, another reason why I have no problem with the whole HD re mastered movement is because one thing the games industry has not done a good job of in years past is preserving it's legacy. Movies have always done a much better job in this area in that any time a new format came along, movies have supported it. From broadcasting films on TV, to making them available on VHS/DVD/Blu Ray, to digital restoration, etc. With gaming in years past, once a previous generation was gone and a new one was ushered in, that was pretty much it. You had to hold onto your old system and hope that it didn't stop working if you wanted to go back play any legacy titles. Now with HD Re masters and programs like PS Now, more and more older titles are being preserved so that gamers who never got to play those older titles now have an avenue to do so.

It seems like one of the cod games had a Spec Ops mode but I don't remember which one.

A lot of people, including myself have (unfortunately) never played some of these classic series. I've barely played Mass Effect 1 and 2. Never played Bioshock 2. Never played any of the Uncharted games. So I would welcome these remasters with open arms.

You're not missing much with BioShock 2. Definitely not of the same caliber as 1 & Infinite. You definitely need to finish ME 1-3 though!
