PS3 Slim and 360 Slim

you kept all your prestige in multiplayer, because that is thru iw. your single player was gone though. hotshots online is integrated with the single player. you have to unlock certain items on single player to play in some online tourneys.

Never do single player. I assume u mean the campaign or whatever.

Sorry, I was more wanting it to be "what everyone thought about the new systems thread" and a "point me in the right direction" thread. Got a little info on the new xbox, nothing on the ps3 and a direction to the 360...looking decent so far.

well to be honest, more of the people on this board have 360s - it's been that way for a while

I'd say look at some reviews and perhaps very importantly compare your prices (I'm not aware of the PS3 slim price; I know the new 360 is $300)

He's right, which one more of your friends play is a big consideration, but also look at which one has more of the titles/games that you think you enjoy more and would like to play.

I'd say look into all that with both of them for a bit and see which one you personally feel better about getting / want more in the end

the campaign or the spec ops. both of those run off the save data from the hdd. if you play regularly, you should hit us up. givn2fly

1. Yeah, I've seen the Gamertag list sticky, a whole bunch of 360ers here.

2. ps3 is 120 GB for $300 and same for Xbox of course for 250GB.

3. Yes, more of my friends play Xbox, but it doesn't always mean I will be playing with them all the time. I mostly play titles that are for both. NCAA and CoD.

4. I've looked at both quiet a bit these last few days. Getting another ps3 would be easier since I have the games and whatnot. But I'm the type to buy games later on down the road than the release date. Either way, I have to purchase a new system....so 360 sounds like the winner?

just for info, ps3 slim 250gb is $350.00 (if you can find them in stock)

If I was to get another ps3, I wouldn't go for the 250GB anyway. But thanks for that info. I would never use all that space. But the same $300 can get ya a 250GB 360 to a 120GB ps3. All depends what you want.

A good point someone brought up is you do have to pay for xbox live also, so you should probably factor that into the XBOX 360 cost (A year's worth is like...I believe it's $50 for a full year, that right someone?)

I dont think you're into any of the motion stuff either from what it sounds (so don't worry) but if you are it'd probably be best to compare those also

don't get me wrong, the ps3 slims are great. they run so quiet you cannot even tell its running. it's basically the same system as the fat tho. like fanboy said, the 360 has some add ons, but nothing you cannot get with the ps3 (except for the surround sound...not sure about that). if kinnect if what you are after, move is going to be cheaper more than likely. jury still out there.

PS3=Dolby 5.1ch, DTS, LPCM, etc.

I started out this console generation with a PS3. I used to be a die hard PS3 fanboy. I got a 360 for fathers day last year, and had my PS3 on eBay this year. I'm a full convert. Them about to start charging for a "premium" version on PSN put me over the edge.

My brother has started quite the system collection over the last couple years...

Wii dominates all. I have way more fun playing that than 360 or PS3.
