i have the 80 gig ps3, bought it 2 months ago, and the wireless has been flawless in downloads and during online play.

as for ps2 games. i've yet to have found one that isn't compatable though some (like ncaa football) don't look great. god of war looks amazing though.

How far do you have router from PS3? mine is about 20ft thru a wall

I think it all depends on the strength of the router. Mine is about 100 feet away thru 3 rooms and it works really well. It is a stronger router tho. It is specifically for gaming and video.

I play COD4 online all the freaking time, I very rarely have any issues, I have a super cheap router from walmart, $38 belkin. The PS3 is probably 20ish feet from it.

Well I fired it up today and played COD4 for about an hour online with no issues. Dont know what it going on. Im going to keep playing COD4 just to see what happens. Then if I dont have any problems go back to NCAA football 08. I got really pissed few months ago playing online with NCAA08 cause I would lose connection during a game and the loss would count against me. That really didnt set well with me being how I was playing with UT and the L column was mounting up.

Does anyone know if you can play PS2 games online with a PS3 if you are using WiFi? I tried with the latest Hot Shots Golf last night and could not get it to work. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not possible?

Yes, you can play PS2 games online with a PS3. You have to run the network software (start-up disc with PS2 online adapter, online EA games, etc.) and save the info to a virtual memory card. Then it works like normal (wired or wifi).

So there is an online adaptor you have to buy or is it just a disc?

I have an original online adaptor for the PS2, but I do not have the disc that came with it. (if that's the one I need) Can I download something thru the PSN? When I tried the game it said no ethernet cable detected. It being WiFi, that kinda threw me.

I just ran a google search and hit some articles. I'm not sure of the specifics. Not something I've tried.

Has anyone ever had problems with your Bluetooth earpiece interfering with your controller causing the ps3 to not recognize the controller? This has happened to me 3 times playing COD4. All that fixes it is turning the game completely off. Sometimes I completely lose connection on my earpiece as well. It is brand new, but I am wondering if that was something that happened to anyone else or if they earpiece might be bad.

Mine works ok but I have to turn it on in the PS3 menu before I play.

I finally figured it out. It was a Motorola bluetooth. There are some of them that interfere with the controler at times. I just took it back and bought the cheapest one they had (plantronics I think) and now it works great. A win, win really. I only use it when I play my friends on COD4 anyway. No reason to use it when your playing with people you don't know. Way too much garbage talked at times.

Anybody know what is the deal with AC6 on PS3? Been waiting on some kind of word and havent heard nothing. Sent namco a email about 5 days ago about the subject and no reply yet. You would think they would put out a official letter on the subject to there game fans on sony consoles and have not.

Mine does when you first turn it on but I think its the external fan that I have added that does it. Have you thought about putting a fan on it. It might be the location you have it sitting not letting heat escape.
