Madden on PS3 "will not run at 60 frames per second" like the 360 version. Lots of discussion recently and now it's pretty much settled.

Lots of people prefer the smoothness of 60fps with NCAA over the PS3 version. So, if you have a choice, the 360 version is obviously the version to get.

As to which version to get? Nope.

But, it was discussed here at some point in the last week or two.

^ Why?

If you love great exclusive titles, more customization, a better engine and 1080p output, then you'll get a PS3... But what do the Vols have to do with it?

Yes... Not huge. But the difference is framerate drops. When something is at 30fps and drops, it chops out and affects gameplay. When something is 60fps and drops, it just gets a little less smooth, but doesn't really affect gameplay.

Everybody I've talked to in person that has a PS3 has had absolutely no problems running it whatsoever. Quiet as a hummingbird compared to the 360, too.

Translation: One of my buddies has a PS3 and it didn't break either time he played it. It's a really quiet blu-ray player since the loud fans only kick in when gaming.

Don't let him fool you. It's a pretty big difference in game play.

When it drops from 60fps? You can obviously notice it, but it doesn't make it horrible... Dropping from 30fps is awful though.

I talk to numerous people each day who have a PS3 and I've heard absolutely no stories about it breaking down. From getting at least 30-40 first hand accounts per week over the last couple months (from gamers, not Blu-Ray watchers), the PS3 is definitley far more stable than the XBox 360. Not to mention getting to go along on home theater installs where PS3's are being set-up, so I get hands-on with them about once per week. I know you're a complete XBox sheep, but you've really lost it, asserting that the 360 is a more stable machine.

freak, is it possible to block somebody in just one forum? Because when it comes to video games and computer technology, you just officially lost your "knowing what the hell you're talking about" license.

I find it hard to believe you've spoken to 2700+ PS3 owners, but whatever. :p And really, if I had 30 friends telling me about the PS3 each day, I'd ask them to get over it and talk about something new.

2700? :hmm:

30-40 a week over two months is 240-320 people.

Wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

I am an xbox sheep just as you are a sony sheep but speaking of not knowing what the hell somebody is talking about.... are you referring to this?

I surely don't see anywhere that I said xbox is a more stable machine. As you know, I don't have a ps3 so I can't tell you if it's more stable or not. The only comment I can even see that comes close is the post someone made about the ps3 power supply. So unless it came from your imaginary friend, I'm not sure what to tell you.

In the post I did actually make, I was obviously kidding around with the first sentence and my second sentence was a knock on the ps3 only being a blu-ray player at this point since there still aren't any games worth buying.

You're the one making things up here so I'd I have to say that you may have lost your "knowing wha the hell you're talking about license".

Next, and I think I understand this correctly, you want me to block myself from this forum? You been smoking again? (**edit -just saw the above post).

Geez. Don't take yourself so seriously Milo. Alternatively, you can go here and just read your own posts over and over. That way you don't have to listen to anyone else's side.

Come on, freak... You know once a phrase like the "knowing what the hell you're talking about license" comes up, it's not a serious post.

Since there is always a debate about 360 and PS3, at work tonight I was talking to some hardcore gamers. They have both PS3 and 360, and said that everyone they know has both and loved the 360 way more than the PS3. They also have the Wii and said that they probably liked it better than the PS3. These hardcore gamers know what they're talking about.
