Before everyone start's posting, let me state the obvious: Yes the 360 version has better graphics. There's no comparison. But this thread is not necessarily about that. It's about the realism of the game and how things run. Surprisingly, i've come across several people on the net saying that they prefer the ps2 or current gen version of the game opposed to the next gen counterpart because they feel that certain aspects of the 360 game need much work.
I'm going to give my personal opinion on a few aspects from both versions and then everyone else feel free to give their (non-biased) opinion.
First, Graphics:
-Hands down its the 360. Everything from the player models, the stadiums, and the overall atmosphere is downright gorgeous. The same cannot be said about the ps2 version. There is however, one flaw that i have found with the 360 game. The snow effect looks horrible. Whoever had the idea of just painting the entire field white for the fluffy stuff seriously needs a good kick in the pants. The ps2 wins in the winter category.
Commentary:
-Can't really say much here. I own the ps2 version and it seems like they've been rehashing the same commentary over and over again for the last 4 or more years. If this is any different on the 360, let me know.
College Atmosphere:
-Again, you be the judge. I haven't played enough of the 360 version to know how good the atmosphere really is.
Animations:
-Other than the gang tackling and flips and dives into the endzone, the 360 still has much to work on. From what i've seen on the next-gen game, the players move like they are damn robots and just look plain unrealistic at times when running with the football. The quarterback also looks awfully stiff when dropping back to pass. It seems on the ps2 the players move quicker and react faster.
Thoughts?
