Entering this game Missouri's defense had given up 27.6 points per game, 411 yards per game and 5.9 yards per play. We scored 17, had 255 yards (lowest total against Missouri other than Wyoming's 248), and averaged 5.2 yards per play.

On offense, Missouri was averaging 35.5 points per game, 473 yards per game and 6.1 yards per play. We allowed 50 points and 484 yards on 6.1 yards per play.

Compared to Missouri's other 10 opponents, other than the scoring differential (4-point advantage to our offense) it's fair to say that our offense was even more underwhelming than our defense today. Of course, we looked pretty awful on both sides of the ball.

Missouri had a 12-yard advantage in average field position per possession and was 7 of 14 on 3rd-down conversions compared to our 2 of 10. They had 29 first downs to our 11. Even taking the turnovers into consideration, it was a bona fide rout.

The defense sucked today regardless what the offense did.

Some of it was bad but we got pushed around in trenches bith sides of ball and they were faster than our secondary. They maybe 3 stars but they know how evaluate talent and run a program.....we are behind they were better team especially with lock....and even more so lock vs. Chryst

Pruitt needs tp beat Vandy - Botchs nemesis or else this year will have been a failure. The inconsistent effort could be fixed by a good coach. It has not happened.

Defense made stops early and offense was going three and out consistently due to the o-line unwillingness to block and keep the an upright. Then the D gets tired and KC was inconsistent at times. Have you seen the size of our O-line?! Marcus Tatum and Jamir maybe weigh 275. Jerome carbon is a freshman....calm down

Hard to run anything resembling an offense without any draft horses up front to pull the wagon. Hopefully we can get the yep bookends we need and add some weight and coach up a couple of other guys to play inside.

We are going to be hurting up front on defense next year. Pack a lunch and get ready for the long haul, we are a couple of years from being a decent team by historical standards. It is what it is. We are currently competing to stay out of the cellar of the division and hoping for a bowl game. That is as good as it gets for the next couple of years.

This, we are currently starting what amount to blocking TE's up front.

Same issue all season. The really experienced or really good QB's we faced this year, know exactly how to beat our Defense. (WV, GA, Florida, Missouri, Bama, USC) These are the teams that exposed us this year. Note all six losses are to teams with Good QB's!
Yesterday true Freshman DB's playing against the 3rd leading passer in SEC history. Bad match up. Move on to Vandy.

His future depends on getting solid OL play. The INTs by Chryst were bad throws not bad play calls. The sacks were where people came unblocked at the QB.

I look at it this way. Subtract 21 for the turnovers and add 7 for the drive at the end of the half and it is 24-29. Imagine if one more of those drives finishes with a FG instead of a turnover 27-29. Then does the D play harder or offense play differently?

The point is we are not that far off, but can’t have bad mistakes. Chryst made poor throws. The OL got no push, not sure how it’s all Helton’s fault.

This is NOT a dumb post...…………...it is a STUPID post. You really think the Head Coach is not involved with what the OC is doing. For goodness sake get a brain. The review of any staff for 2 0r 3 years is insane. Too many people including many on this site, will get their panties in a wad if UT is not ranked high in the Recruit Rating that is run by and evaluated by Recruiting services.......get a life.
Let this staff get players they want on campus, and lets see what they can produce from them regardless of Number of Stars........
