Pruitt won this game for us:

How did the LSU coaches get those players? Our coaches need to subscribe to The Mail-Order Player News, and quit this stupid recruiting thing-you act as if they have only out recruited us, as our coaching skills are equal. What's up with this recruiting thing?
When’s the last time LSU has struggled recruiting? I’ll wait. Some places recruit regardless of their coach. Ed O has been widely known as one of the best recruiters in the nation everywhere he has been.

They’ve surrounded him with coaching talent. Their coordinators are paid as much as many head coaches.
It appears the LSU AD is also taking some of those COACHING SMART PILLS! I wish we could get a few bottles in Knoxville.

Their o-line was pretty good, their d-line was good too.
It wasn't that good, CJP and Guarantano laid it on em! They're going back to Indiana in dire need of counseling, the mere sound of Tennessee is making them sick to their stomach!

Disagree. We were incredibly lucky to win a game that never should have been close. We have more 4 star recruits in every single recruiting class than they’ve had in the last 20 years. There’s a huge talent disparity between the two teams. We were pushing them around easily to start the game. But Pruitts reluctance to go away from Jg is just so damn shocking. He did make a good call on the onside kick. But that was the only good call he made and had a whole bunch of bad ones in between. Why didn’t he stick with Maurer? He was in for 1 drive and we scored on it. He’s ability to run is significant. And we went with the prevention their second to last drive and gave them every opportunity to drive down and score
I agree, BM’s ability to run would have been great, but he kept forcing the ball down field. Needed to tuck and run on every drop back if the flat or short crossing wasn’t there.

P.L.E.A.S.E Are you 2?
You aren't getting in the Spirit-remember this is a Vol fan site!!!! Everything is great with the program, we're on a roll, we've won 6 in a row, CJP has recruited like a house a fire, and the football world is on notice! Are you okay? It seems as if you aren't drunk with joy-there is now little doubt we'll crush Oklahoma, and whip all comers in the Conference, if you don't believe me, just read the rest of the board!

I am sad.

We can argue all we want but:

UT Football is over until next season.

It's a tolerable wait since we won 6 in a row and a bowl game. . . .

GO BIG ORANGE!

I tend to think that the only reason this game was a nail biter was because of the amount of mistakes we made. We made many more crucial mistakes than they did.
As from the score board we dominated the first half. It should have been 21-3. We definitely shot ourselves In he foot.

I’m not sure what happened at halftime. I have been impressed with the 2nd half adjustments this staff has made down the stretch. It was like they didn’t make any this game.

Class, this is what happens when your need to be right surpasses you love for your team. You end up having to root against your own team. This makes you worse than a Bammer. Negavols don’t start out saying “I want to hate Tennessee.” It happens through a series of poor decisions and the refusal to repent.

I know some people are critical of the Vols performance last night, but we won. It's sad when someone gets so upset they even have trouble typing! They just want to be critical of our team, can't they just enjoy the HUGE win? That makes six in a row, yes sir, we're unstoppable now-get with the program, there is always room for positive Vols comments here!

I suggest this to all in your position. Subtly walk your position back over a period of a couple weeks and people will forget all this. And then you can take your position on the band wagon as one of the biggest Vol fans with anonymity.

You are still so upset, you have forgotten to include commas, where necessary, in your post! Calm down, we won, we're great, we're on a roll, get with the program-next season is ours....

If anyone doesn't believe that special teams & extra points can be one of the 3-4 plays that turn a game your way, just ask Indiana, South Carolina & Kentucky. Without Callaway' punt return and Bituli's blocked punt it's a 26-21 nail-biter. A blocked extra point against Ky made them have to try to get a TD instead of a field goal. A missed extra point last night by Indiana? The onside kick? We mighta been in a BYU overtime again. It's the little foxes that spoil the vines.... Go Vols!

Has a book written about his recruiting exploits. Plus he learned to evaluate talent from what I consider two of the best. Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carroll.

Yeah, they won but all that crap they did wrong for most of the game will bite them against a good team.

It was 55 minutes of mediocrity...and then 1 minute of brilliance...and then 2 plays of stupid defense in the last minute..,followed by at least recognizing the stupidity and correcting it
I do not know what game you were watching. Up to the last three minutes of first half our D had given up 39 yards until JG interception. This is from offense that in Indiana that media like Kirk H said they would win. Overall D was really good. In modern day football giving up 16 I will take. One day we will have more horses to shut down a team for complete game.

You realize that just because fans highlight the great 7-1 finish and acknowledge that this program is heading in a positive direction doesn’t mean we don’t know what issues the team still needs to improve on. So it’s ok to be positive. Doesn’t mean we think we are the best team in the country
