Anyone who thinks Pruitt is NOT a great hire has NOT done there homework or does NOT follow the SEC close enough. This dude is a football junkie. The most qualified HC UT has hired since Fulmer was let go.

I've realized during this search how many casual fans we have. But yet they think they're the ones who should be calling the shots. Fulmer got this hire right. Deal with it!

It's great you have your own opinion, but trying to force it on everyone else is quite annoying. The only thing that will let us know if this is a "great" hire is time. Plenty of coaches have flourished as assistants and failed as HC. Personally, as in my own opinion, I don't see this as a great hire. I see it as settling, once again, for someone who wasn't our first choice. Sure, I hope he proves me wrong, but I have zero confidence he does. But like I said, only time will tell.

intro to an old Christmas Classic "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times"
Vol nation has an opportunity to look forward and be optimistic about the new coach.

Nice OP. The only thing I might take exception to would be the recruiting part. We do not KNOW that he can recruit to anywhere near the same level at UT that he did at Gump. I hope he can, but I'm doubtful.

He has my support when he decides to show up and work for us. Until then, I couldn't care less about him.

Jeez some of you guys are depressing as ****. Don't forget, big risk could mean big reward. What's the harm in supporting the guy until what he can/can't do is in the record books?

Funny how, by his standards, anyone who supports a new coach without even knowing how well he will or won't do is a "slurper." Sorry some of us actually think Pruitt can be successful and want him to be lol. It's like some of these people would rather us never win another game again as long as they're right.

Coach Pru knows the importance of this class, his first as a head coach, and I seriously doubt that he will take a pass on working it as well as he can.
