Pruitt was worried about the Vols in Alabama on Wednesday! Pacing one on the phone.

Far bigger things in life to worry about than a coach finishing what he started......commitment means nothing to some people ...and people who gripe are same ones that would be pissed if he left us high and dry and cost us a championship...smh

Incorrect. Was not pissed when Cutcliffe left for Ole Miss prior to NC game.

You seem to value CJP commitment to Bama's players more than you do his commitment UT's.

Get over it. This is how its gonna be, And you can do what exactly...Oh yeah piss and moan. LOL

Got no problem with Pruitt honoring his commitment to his players. You respect men who keep their word. Players appreciate it and recruits along with their parents know that he'll keep his word with them as well. This is the type of guy you send your kids to. This is the kind of guy you want to play for. Remember all the comments from players saying all they wanted was honesty from coaches? Want a team built on strong character, commitment and honesty? Well, it starts at the top. Pruitt is setting a great example.

I look at it differently. If Northrop were hiring rival Lockheed's #2 executive to head up a proposal for the 6th generation fighter to replace the F-22, they would expect him to commit to their team's efforts to win the contract (championship) immediately. They would not expect him to continue to make Lockheed's product better to the detriment of Northrop's proposal. It has nothing to do with honor or any commitments that he made to his Lockheed staff.

It's a cutthroat competition. Lockheed (Saban) is playing for keeps. Northrop (UT) has ceded to Lockheed's whims, needs, and timeline. I hope Northrop gets the contract, but...

Apples and oranges. Also in your example, Lockheed would escort him to the door under guard for security purposes. Try again with another example.

Just doesn't sit right with me. Cutcliff left us before the Fiesta National Championship game to be Ole Miss head coach. Is this a sign of his true loyalty? I should hope not for the amount of money we are paying him. I don't think it's a good thing for TN head coach to continue coaching our number 1 most hated rival. Especially with early signing period going on. Did it affect our results of the early signing? Who knows.

Watch his press conference if you don't understand why he's there now.

Why are you fretting over something you nor I have control over? If he wasn't such a good defensive coach Bama wouldn't and we wouldn't be in this situation. Is he never going to have a chance to be accepted here because he coached at Georgia or Alabama or wherever else?

It sits right with Coach Pruitt, and I'm okay with it as well. It's called "honoring your word", which is a trait that seems to be increasingly rare these days.

He made a commitment to his employer, and to his players, that he would see them through this season. I'm certain that Coach Fulmer agreed to it.

He's a man of his word; he's doing great things for UT already; and he's going to be all-in once Bama's season is over. And he absolutely affected the early signing period. We picked up, what...4 or 5 players that made their first visit and then signed the following Wednesday. Mays was never going to come here. Coach Pruitt is recruiting a whole different type of player, and I'm right with that as well.

Coach Pruitt is proving to be a man of integrity. That sits very right with me.

And get ready for some hard-nosed football next season, because that's what he's bringing to the table. About time.

Go Vols.
Best post I have seen on this. Time to move on and let the man honor his commitment before coming back to Knoxville. It is ridiculous to keep harping on this. Comments on this forum will not cause him to leave Alabama early. Let's support him and be happy we are getting a coach that keeps his word.

Some people have to b!tch about every thing. Like a bunch of teenage girl drama queens. LOL

Agree! Imagine people being pissed about a coach who follows through with his obligations. Yes, morons, he had an obligation to the kids to see them through the rest of the season. I appreciate the fact our coach has a moral compass!

Coach Pruitt and his staff are doing phenomenal work recruiting!

He's doing a great job and I'd agree with you that he is conscientious about the Vols and his work.

It IS just weird to see our CURRENT coach all decked out in Bama gear. It'd be less weird if it was just speculation he was coming...but he IS our head coach. I don't know...just weird.

Just imagine he's our agent deep undercover on the Alabama sidelines and will soon return to us with valuable intel. And stop posting about your insecurities. You don't want to blow his cover do you?

I think some of our fans are probably in the midst of creating this conspiracy theory (led by peytonmanningwoo) that CJP is in cahoots with Saban to completely destroy TN from the inside.

You're not the only one, at least you have that working for you.

Alot of Kids that grew up in the Nintendo world feel entitled and cry when they don't get their way. Keeping a commitment is not something they concern themselves with!My opinion of CP went up a notch when he keep his.

Nothing but respect for Coach Pruitt for honoring his commitment to his players and Bama. Our players get a chance to see what a commitment really is. Not some hog wash BS from the old staff.

It is amazing for me to see people complaining about Pruitt coaching in the playoffs.

It speaks volumes to me about him caring about the players he committed to. It makes me believe he will care about our players. So many coaches seem to not have a second thought about the players they were supposed to be committed to.

Coach Pruitt has shown already that he is dedicated to making Tennessee great. The coaches he is surrounding himself with, and the players he has already brought in will get us back to where we are supposed to be.

Please stop the negative complaining and support this coach and staff. Everyone is watching and reading. And that includes those young men who have already committed to UT and those who will in February.

Coach Pruitt came into a terrible situation which he did not create, and he is doing great already, and will continue to get even better.

GO VOLS!

Oh come on Jim, don't you know he is going to develop our players and then be mean and make them transfer and only release them to Bama?

Anyone who complains about what Pruitt and Sherer are doing has to be nuts. These guys are going for a championship which can only help us in the future. It won't hurt us a bit in recruiting because of the dead period. It will help to have guys like this showing recruits what they can do for them. Jeez, lighten up Francis.

If you are talking to Francis and Frances is it Francii?
