The people who coach these teams are adults and professionals. They don't hate other teams. That's only for Some of the fans who never grew up.

Maybe because Leach isn't a lifelong Bammer who grew up hating Tennessee?

And supposedly CMays grew up loving Tennessee, but did that stop him -- given the right set of circumstances (e.g. working for a great man such as ADPF), don't you believe that people can change/adapt?

Not to be a hard-ass about Leach being entertaining.....as a VOLS fan would you rather have a coach that gives you an occasional chuckle or a coach that wins games? I like a laugh as good as the next person, but damn I love celebrating a win.

Leach for his 16 yr career is 122-81 .601 WP

Please Please tell me what in the wide wide world of Sports would make you think he would be a good Coach in the SEC.

The "FUN" would not last long.

Is it Cool? Is it Hip? I just don't get it?? But that is just me. Leach would be the last Coach I would hire to turn a program around in the SEC. :hi:

Has he ever coached in the SEC? Not a good fit.

I think he coached at KY.

I am very happy with what Coach Pruitt has done thus far, and would definitely not trade him for Leach at this point, but I think Leach could have done well here, if given the chance.

Championships? I don't know, but it would have been fun to watch unfold.

I like having Leach with my Cougars and glad he didn’t come to UT, but Luke Falk didn’t play and neither did the top two receivers on the season. That kinda hurts a pass happy offense...
How dare you introduce facts that Allvol just simply ignored. Typical.

Doug Dickey was a Gator.
David Cutcliffe was a Bammer.
Dabo Swinney was a Bammer.
Vince Dooley was an Auburn Tiger.
Pat Dye was a Georgia Bulldog.
Frank Broyles was a Yellowjacket.
Bob Stoops was a Hawkeye.
Mac Browne was a Seminole.
Darrell Royal was a Sooner.
Bobby Dodd was a Vol.

Some of the greatest coaches' loyalties were with other teams besides the ones they coached. Many were rival schools.

Get over it.

Bump.

Never understood the fascination by so many on here for Leach.

Dude just got annihilated in his bowl game. Offensive mastermind managed 17 points.

Leach would have been entertaining as hell, likeable to all SEC fans and media, and he would have won a lot of games at UT and would have fielded very good offenses. He would have been way more of a sure thing than Pruitt.

Pruitt was on NOBODY’S original coaching wish list. He wasn’t even mentioned as a top coordinator candidate, coming in behind guys like Tee Martin, Josh Huepel and Brent Venables and others. He has a history of not getting along well with others; Mark Richt ran him off, Jimbo Fisher couldn’t stand him. It’s safe to say Pruitt was at least the 15th choice, maybe even lower. He was the best “desperation hire” candidate that could be found at the time. He’s very unpolished and unrefined right now, his opening presser sounded like a backwoods, hillbilly gym teacher. He knows defensive x’s and o’s, but I think he struggles badly for the next year or two.

Guaranteed success now.

Who where these 10 who turned us down. Was that Currie or Fulmer. None of them wanted to work for Currie. Cant say that about Fulmer. he talked to several people and probably made one offer.
