Pruitt talks offensive struggles

Don't misunderstand me, Im not blaming Pruitt. It just seems like he has had all of this he can stand. Kinda like hes ready to throw in the towel
I think its more frustration to point he knows there's nothing else he can do. Hes ready to hit the reset. I honestly believe the only reason he hasnt benched half the team is because, well, someone has to take the field.

We suck and he knows it. He probably hates losing and playing poorly. Let’s see what he can do for us next year.

Did anyone catch the post game presser? Pruitt said anybody can beat anybody and “I was actually a part of a coaching staff that lost to....never mind, I probably shouldn’t say it bc I don’t want to disrespect them.”

Who was he talking about?

He has no idea how to coach 3 star players. All he has ever coached is 4-5 star players. Spurrier brought Duke in here and beat Fulmer. It's not always about the Jimmy and Joes. Did Duke have equal talent with UT ?
Then when he got to Florida he was hammered by Tennessee and learned he needed better players to play “consistently “ with the big boys.

It is always about the Jimmy’s and joes.

I actually love how honest he is about everything. I wish he’d finished that sentence

Tired of hearing " let's see what happens next year "
Not saying Pruitt can't get the job done, just tired of hearing it

Everyone is tired of it. Got no choice. I think its more that we all expect "next year" to be good, not just better, but GOOD. Sigh. Never mind, I'm tired of talking about it.

This^^^^^. Another press conference won by Pruitt. As long as he is "honest" and keeps saying "aight" who cares what kind of team he puts on the field

Is it just me or does JP seemed resigned to the fact that theres no hope for this team. Watching his interview at halftime and at end of game, he seemed extremely depressed.
Wouldn't you be? The Oline is a toilet paper tough... JG doesn't step up in the pocket.... Jordan is blind and slow..... they didn't even target Jennings.... I could go on and on

There’s no pocket to step up into. I don’t think Jennings played.

Wouldn’t you be if you knew exactly what each offense was going to do and had guys in position who don’t make plays?

Or guys who can’t run block against any defense in the nation even though that doesn’t make any sense. We should atleast be able to move the ball on the ground a little.

I’d be depressed too, if I knew I had one of the best coaching staffs in college football (All of them are accomplished) and somehow my guys weren’t performing.

The man gets paid to coach them up. You might lack talent but playing with this no energy and half effort bs is old. I don’t care who the opponent is.
Meh. No energy and half effort is subjective. I haven’t seen that much this year.

But listening to the post game interviews it sounds like we may have been looking ahead to Kentucky, which falls on the staff to a large degree. Although I heard Pruitt hammering all week about how this would be a tough game.

I haven’t seen it much this year, but Charlotte, 2nd half of UF, and UTEP was very poor in those regards. I think the baffling thing is the coaching staff is straight up bone headed. The play calling was idiotic, if you just pass 80% of the time instead of trying to establish a clearly non existent run, you probably blow them out like you should.

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that this staff isn’t going to abandon the run no matter what.

That team was unmotivated and flat today, with the same issues. They’re not embracing his teaching. And I don’t blame him for being ticked.
Shoal. A coach can't dog his players out on national TV and expect them to then embrace his teaching. We are 9 games into the season and pruitt and his staff still cant get the playets to line up right. Thst is all bad coaching

I would do 1 of 2 things:
1. Drop it and just pass the ball 80% of the time.
2. Tell the players no matter what the score is, we're not going to throw the ball even once until they can effectively run it.

He knows how bad the OL is. No SEC caliber starters and zero quality depth. In reality the only reason our rushing numbers looked so good in 2015 and 2016.
