Siap.
I actually debated not posting this, because, IMO, it borders on slanderous. The amount of hearsay and speculation presented in this article as fact, after everything Tennessee has been through in that regard, is at best irresponsible, and at worst, complete slander of Pruitt.
Tennessee football podcast: Phillip Fulmer credibility boosts struggling new coach Jeremy Pruitt
To write something like this two weeks in after 5 years of towing the company line with Butch is mind boggling to me.
If you agree, let Mike know.
The Struggle continues!!! :lolabove:

First of all regarding Penix. Wouldn't you appreciate a coach telling you that he thinks you would be better off at another school? I know if he was my kid I would.
What happened with Penix is that the HC told and reassured him that he still had an offer - then a few days later the OC tells the kid he doesn't have an offer.
That is not right. And you can't tell me that you as a parent would be happy if the HC told your kid he had an offer then a few days later the OC tells your kid to "get lost".
The key point is that Pruitt and his assistants were NOT on the same page. That is NOT good.
You are absolutely the most miserable person.
Being 54th isn't on Pruitt
No I am not. Just telling it like it is.
Why is it that folks bash other coaches for situations like what happened to Penix but now are "okay" that these coaches are doing that??
Pruitt should be at Tennessee right now finishing up hiring his staff and getting all of them on the same page.
Not entirely. Now that the rating has moved up to bad, rather than mind boggling bad, I'm seeing dozens of posters go gaga over what could end up being the worst signing class TN has had since following recruiting became a thing.
Hopefully we see a huge jump before NSD.
Still play in the SEC. Still need top 5 year in year out classes.

Name a program that just went through what we did . Thats why you dont see it all the time . Now name a program that went through what we did and has a head coach thats coaching his team that we got him from in the playoffs for a national championship . I dont know why you think its a bad thing when our AD wants his university to be the best it can be and is doing everything he can think of to make that happen . Right now , at this time at UT , ITS ALL HANDS ON DECK . I see at as phil doing his part Id be even happier if Beverly was making calls a visiting kids and parents reassuring them that UT is on its way back and steady as a rock again.Pruitt's future success here will be no better than Butch if Fulmer doesn't let him run the program like he wants to run it. Name a school who allowed their AD to go on a recruiting visit to a recruit's house? Fulmer is bullying Pruitt and it is evident that Pruitt is too scared to tell him to BTFO. Remember this post when in a few years when I said Fulmer needs to leave football to Pruitt.

We still have room for another 9 or 10 players. Currently, if you go by average player rating, we're 14th nationally on 247. Our class will be top 20, maybe top 15 overall. Considering Pruitt has had a mere matter of weeks to build relationships with these kids, I'd call this a win.
