Love the new rule!

It will be interesting to see how it plays out in 3-4 years. If you have more redshirts on the team then you have more experience but also will have less schollys available each year (say 20-25 players a class to 18-20) ... unless this results in more transfers to balance things out. Could this also result in more Juniors declaring early for the draft?

It is good for these players to get some action in some games though, especially cupcake games or games that got out of hand (won't be a problem going forward).

There may very well be players the coaches don't want to redshirt because they want another scholly available rather than keeping a marginal player on the team. Send a player in for 1 play in five games.

Here's a total 180 question.... Who will opt to transfer at season's end?

Also who will declare early: Hopefully between JJ and MC we get to keep at least one of them. This season was a half step back for Warrior so I expect him to come back for one more year. Really can't think of anyone else that will bolt early.

According to Doug Mathews, the numbers dictate there will be several. Bringing in 25 freshmen in the 2019 class, only 13 seniors on the team...something’s gotta give.

I thought we had a few schollys we didn't use for last year's class. Wasn't their one or two transfers as well?

Wondering if any/how many will transfer as graduate transfers from 2015 recruiting class? I know playing time has been minimal for Austin Smith and it seems Sapp has been tweeting that he is looking forward to upcoming graduation...

I don't think JJ will because I don't think he grades out well right now. But if he comes back and has a solid senior campaign then it could really help his stock.

MC would be more likely to declare because of his ability for making big catches and is the most polished receiver in the group. However, I think he will stay unless he grades 2nd round.
