Pruitt says trust the process

People just have to resign themselves to the ugliness that is wholesale change.

Going from the grab and turn blocks and misdirection spread crap to zone blocking and power on offense and switching from base 43 to 34 defense with the same personnel just won't happen overnight.

I agree, we don't really have much of a choice. He has only had 4 games and while we'd like to see a lot of progress, we've all heard and read where half the team wasn't there in the spring or summer. I am bothered by the fact that the upperclassmen who were from Lyle's era are not stepping up as the true leaders. I mean there are a few like JG or JJ but the seniors should really be stepping up. The freshman or newcomers shouldn't be the leaders already, they can be taking leadership roles but not being the total leaders that we're seeing on nat'l TV. I'm really hoping we make some progress and I'm still holding out for an SEC win or two but I'm still skeptical like everyone else.

I get really sick of these jerks treating and trying to deceive the fans into believing in some magic process that will never beat fruit this year or 5 years from now.
All the fans are not like you and your disbelief. Maybe some like to have hope that it will get better. Some of us don't have the time left in our lives to go through to many more coaches, and we want to hang on to someone that maybe can turn the corner.

If literally seen nothing indicating we are in a better spot now than we were 9 or 10 months ago.

And, to think otherwise would have been wishful thinking. We were likely to take a step back before we went forward (and we did). Unfortunately, Pruitt will need more of his style of recruits that fit his system. And the old culture will have to be pushed out. So yes, it's a process.

lol everything is a process. Even Saban went 6-6 his first year at Bama
Please do not insult the collective intelligence of the people on this board by comparing him to Saban.

He is saying even the best coach of all time went 6-6, so stop acting like Pruitt should do better than that.

He actually went 2-6 because he vacated wins because they cheat. :)

I feel Coach Pruitt is correct it will take time to get us on the correct path.
I hate seeing what is happening on the field now I miss the good days.
But with the coaching we had over the last several years there is no surprise we are in the shape we are in.
Kiffin left after 1 year he was never going to stay here then we het to midlevel coachs
That was not SEC caliber.
Jones had 2 good years but it was having enough good players to cover up all the holes we still had if he was a SEC caliber coach we should have won the east at least twice.
Even thou Pruitt has no head coaching experance he knows what it takes to compete in the SEC now its all up to recruiting.

And yet people have this g thru one ear and out the other expecting the exact opposite. It drives me crazy. It’s going to get ugly this season but by the end we will notice the improvement. Next year will be even better but not where we all want it. Year 3 and 4 is when I expect to be see a finished product

Your screen name is "Losing Faith Vol," you created your account in the week before the Florida game, and your position is that we'll never have success, not even in 5 years.

IknoxvolI, is that you?

Maybe this offseason CJP will flush out the bad apples and get it down to the ones that truly want to give their all for Tennessee. We already know he will use every resource to get the players he feels could help and contribute.
