Almost every single sports outlet said we were going to be bad this year. Yet, some fans think they know so much more and now the wheels are coming off. Are you serious? Give it a rest and just stop complaining this season. It's going to get worse before it gets better. Why? Because we are going to keep losing this year. Take the year off.

This year is a teaching year. Let's develop our young talent and let Pruitt do his job that he needs to do off the field. I care more about what he's doing in recruiting and I'll be interested to see if this team looks any better in oct-nov. This was the second high profile game for this group. I agree there was some desperate coaching last night because Pruitt is trying to do more with less. At least he's trying things. I don't have an issue with that. Helton called a bad game...so be it. It happens. I'm sure he's had time to observe his calls and he'll respond. Georgia and Bama are going to be ugly. They are going to make us look bad. And my opinion will be no different after those games. We stink. It is what it is. I'm a pretty good card player but there are times I get bad hands and there is very little I can do. It just is what it is.

I ll bump that up to next year. That's not expecting him to be in contention for the east at all but year 2 will tell you where year 3 is going.

We are firmly stuck right here, aight. Give him a chance to get some players on board, it has become clear to me he does not have a lot of weapons to compete. Time and practice with this group seemingly will little upside.

I watched Bear Bryant cuss out a reporterette on live TV in an Auburn game that they eventually lost. He was juvenile, pedantic, and frankly, it was a pathetic display from a supposedly upstanding coach.

I don’t think anyone is going to criticize Bryant for being subjected to the line of impatience and idiocy from the Knoxville press that the past few coaches at UTK have been subjected.

I’ll take a coach that has shown a level of frustration from a team that hasn’t shown anything in years except clutching their goolies, and assuming a thumb-sucking mentality at the first sign of adversity.

I LIVE IN PENSACOLA FLORIDA, AND THE ENTIRE STATE IS LAUGHING AT TENNESSEE. NOT SURE HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN SUPPORT A PROGRAM THAT HAS GIVEN UP ON ITSELF. THE FLORIDA GAME WAS AS BAD A GAME AS I HAVE EVER WATCHED ON TV AND IM 64 YEARS OLD! WE DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO TACKLE.. 90% OF OUR TACKLES ARE HEAD AND SHOULDER TACKLES. EITHER THE TACKLER SLIDES OFF OR ALLOWS RUNNER TO ADVANCE 2-3 ADDITIONAL YARDS BEFORE BEING TAKEN DOWN... CHILDREN ARE TAUGHT STICK EM AND WRAP EM UP!.. I didn't expect the nauseating coachspeak that Pruiitt regurgitates after embarrassing beatdowns like this. I expected a super disappointed coach who would bring some fire...and dare i say "outrage" after humiliating losses like this. But no...it's just the same old blahblahblaha...."we gotta get better and that's on me" BS. I see ZERO indication we are any better off with Pruitt...in fact after today....I fear we may be waaay WORSE off.

I agree with this ^ -- for CJP's own good, I believe he needs to keep calm in all situations the remainder of the season (on the sidelines of games + in all video conferencing) so as to not overreact (i.e. no chalkboard breaking and no falling to the ground on knees in exhilaration of a hail mary) for any reason with and to this group of kids, this (his first) season as hc at Tennessee. This chalkboard-type incident seems to be just distracting from the real issue -- poor execution (for whatever reason it's poor, it's just poor and it seems these kids are not going to improve their execution by tough-chopping the chalk board).

I am not happy with our performance and we suck right now, but you want catch me bailing. Yes, I'll complain and gripe and moan about our performance right now.

I've been a fan as long as my memories go back. You won't catch me threatening to jump on bama's band wagon.

Josh Dobbs is the answer to your question about Jones demise. Josh carried the man with one game plan. Without Dobbs he had no one capable of running his offense and it is the only offense he was willing to run.

So I guess he should be giving the non sec talented players soft serve ice cream and cake as they played hard and are champions of life. Who do you think would be the answer for that crap show? You mad at him because he is competitive and I am sure that no one that post on here has ever showed their frustrated ass at some point in time and as a matter of fact if his team had the fire in their ass we may only had 3 turnovers.
