I agree with you Mike. Where is the personal pride at? It just seems like you would get tired of looking foolish and getting embarrassed play after play.

I quit blaming coaching when I saw Niehaus stand and watch a Charlotte DL player run right past him without even attempting to block him and another Charlotte DL player run right past Jordan in the backfield without Jordan even laying a finger on him.

Exactly what I'm talking about,thank you. That's just one example also.
I don't blame coaching as much as players taking responsibility but there is something not working with them.

ONE play did someone run by him right when he got moved from RG to RT. He did just fine at RT after that.

What amazes me about Pruitt is that the man makes $4 mm a year and has the worst grammar of any SEC coach. It's embarrassing to hear someone say "done" when he should be saying "did" and aight in place of all right or okay on national TV.
This guy is a box of rocks and it might work out, but I don't think so.

This. We physically do not push or beat people one on one like these star ratings suggest. Our O line can't push any of our opponent's back. We have a few skill people that are SEC caliber, but as a whole our talent level isn't on par with mid level SEC teams

That's just how Bamanites talk. The rare few smart people who are born in that state know they have to talk in deep hick language to be understood by the rest of the inbred trailer park dwellers. Pruitt has already shown how smart he is though, in spite of the origins of his growing up - he left Alabama for a better state. :D.

I don't know why our fan base freaked out so bad, we won, we know we don't have a very good team. That's why they play the game, and like coach said anyone can beat you on any given day. Chill out VolNation we are not good right now but this coach will get us there in time. The thing I like about him is he wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth he knows it takes hard work to get results in life, and he will work his butt off to be the best program around.

I’m a grammar Nazi from way back (and proud of it, btw), but I don’t agree with you on this one. I appreciate genuine people, including the way they talk, and I put Pruitt in this category.

Criticizing people for their speech patterns, whether white country, American black, Latino, or anything else, is just another way of setting oneself up as superior to others. (I suppose I should regret my “Duel Threat” post, although I’ll have to work on that a bit...)

Having endured the recent election cycle, I haven’t much patience for the “slicker ‘n snot” TV version of American English. It tends to make me think that someone is pissing on my leg but telling me that it’s raining. Just a comment by a cranky but proud old leftie. 1541653469767.gif

Maybe I just haven't found it yet but the Charlotte game does not appear to be posted on YouTube at present. I had to work that evening, does somebody have a recording of the game that they could post on YouTube? Or possibly a video link that they could post here on volnation? Thank you in advance!
