True enough but one of the problems early on (ie 10 yrs ago) is those elite coaches were perceived to be too expensive with Fulmer’s buyout. Whiff. Then we had a complete Harvey Milktoast for an AD who thought he could find a coach in the bargain bin. whiff. Then an AD with one foot in retirement the other in Alabama. Strike three. And now...no high profile coach would want to risk it all with this convoluted mess. When’s basketball season?

The irony of it all is that we've ended up paying out as much at least as we would by hiring a guy that could actually coach and had a resume. When your paying three or guys in the past that you fired and also a present guy that your gonna have to fire it is quite expensive. Like anything in life you get what you pay for.

Theres no way to tell this early if Pruitt is the guy...but I have zero problems with that press conference, or the way the game was called.

He is a real football coach. He didnt sugar coat anything. Tells the truth and tells it like it is. It is refreshing. Everything he said in that 9 minutes is true. Everything. We played cover 3...Taylor blew it. Cost us the game. Jg sucks and left at least 2 TDs on the field in the 1st half...cost us the game. We went for it on 4th and 1...twice...in their end of the field.. lost both times. Cost us the game. I want a coach that ALWAYS believes in our team enough to go for 4th and 1 on that end of the field. Always. No fault there.

The coaches put this team in a position to win this game. Over and over and over ..despite having to coach around a QB that cant read a defense, missing our best corner in Thompson, having only 2 RBs ...which are very talented but small....they coached to our strengths and tried to cover up our weaknesses. We still lost.

This game is not on coaches. It's on players. Primarily JG and Alontae . Each gave the other team at least 10 points. Am I saying Pruitt is the answer or great? No. I dont know yet. He didnt lose this game though. 2 players did. Badly. Yall calling for Pruitts Job 2 games into his 2nd season are stupid...and part of the problem. No good coach will ever go somewhere that he feels like his job is on the line 2 games into his 2nd season. Ever. People calling for Pruitts head suck worse than JG...he has an excuse...he is still just a kid.

We saw this last season as well. The oline was terrible at run blocking all season, but actually improved on their pass protection by the end of the season, and JG wasn't able to capitalize on the extra time then either.

There is a lot to criticize but I saw a lot of emotion from him. In the first game, I think this criticism was justified. He was extremely animated from what I saw all game. This doesn't mean he's doing a good job or coaching well but what you are saying doesn't come from someone who was watching him.

He definitely had alot more fire tonight and chewing players out making mistakes. He has to make a QB change. If we don't have anyone better than JG we're in trouble.

And when your players repeatedly are in the wrong position, repeatedly miss assignments, and you keep playing a QB that is seriously flawed...that is on the coaches. They are making millions to teach these kids what they need to do and get the right talent in the right place. They are failing.
