Pruitt on Tennessee: "I've never seen a place that looks like this"

I kind of agree with this. ^^ When Gump was going thru what we have been going thru there was a joke about what do an Alabama fan and someone stranded in the Alaskan wilderness have in common. The answer is that they can live for a long time on a dead Bear. Peyton is our Bear.

Don't get me wrong. Love PM and what he did for UT and UT football, but at some point we need to let it go. He should always be honored at UT and I think he will, but like you said, stop with all the worship.

Peyton worship makes me wanna punch myself in the jewels. You’d think the guy won us 4 titles. Dobbs was how many yards from beating Peyton’s pass yards? It wasn’t far and this was while playing behind the worst O line in football for years. Give it up.

Give him time. CJP has a lot of things to fix so 2018 could be a letdown. Kirby Smart fell into the Georgia job. The cupboards are not as full in Knoxville. Hard to imagine anything better than 6-6, but this will be a 2 game improvement over this year's dumpster fire.

Even at that Kirby still struggled last year for what he inherited. Getting things in order and such. Dialed it up this year. He proved he knew how to plan around the talent he had available this year. Which was pretty good. He and Pruitt seem to be of the same cloth. Looking forward to seeing those two match up next year.

In his first presser he said he wants other teams to be "scared to play the Vols" and wants us to be "dominate"

If I remember correctly, he actually said dominant.
I think he knows the difference between the two words.

He probably really wanted to say, "how the hell can anyone mess this up"! This place is off the chain! Ah'ight!

I've looked through everything available online, and I can't see that Alabama has anything that is better than what we have. We both have these cavernous weight rooms that look similar, an indoor full length practice field, players' lounges, therapy rooms, academic support facilities, meeting rooms. Both schools seem to have top notch facilities.

It's subjective with respect to interior decorating I guess, but there are no major size/function gaps that I can tell.

"I've only been here for a few hours, but walking through the facilities, the facilities are unbelievable. It should be really easy to recruit to. I've never seen a place that looks like this."

EXCLUSIVE: Rick Russo one-on-one with Jeremy Pruitt
My son just graduated from Bama in Aug. When it comes to the campus, Bama is a thousand times nicer, but when it comes to the stadium Neyland is much much nicer. Sorry, but when it comes to the girls Bama is much nicer too.

Personally I’m glad he didn’t and I doubt he gives a damn what he thinks. He has to be the receptive guy towards former players but that’s as far as it goes. He made that very clear early on and it’s a great thing to hear

Maybe I'm too tough on Peyton I'm sure he has lots of irons in the fire. And I'm sure many 'facts' are distorted from the actual truths of what was said, or what was done actually. And I recognize that any help of any kind from him is a good thing be it publicity by association or donation of time. But I wonder if he loves the program so much why doesn't he coach our QB's and QC the passing game? I like the idea of CJP being his own man and if advice is needed he'll ask.

All well and good, but we have to realize that he is broadcasting to recruits. How is he gonna recruit a strong class in this situation if he walks around saying, "Meh, I've seen better?" In other words, of course he's gonna talk up Tennessee and its facilities.

Nice to be excited, but come on guys, this is just marketing from Pruitt. And yes, I do know UT facilities are excellent. But so are a lot of other schools' facilities.

It is coach talk. If he were at 'insert school' he would say the same thing.

Though in this case there is no doubt Tennessee has facilities as good as anyone else.

The last 8 years of coaching had a lot of closeness with Peyton....

Secondly, Peyton made his bed with the Haslams. The fact that he though Schiano was a good coach for UT is alma mater malpractice.

Peyton go behind Butch once we interviewed him and pushed his name as hard as anyone to Hart...

The guy ain't smart.

And those that were pushing Martin all day long are smart? It is obvious that those that make decisions knew he wasn't ready and may never be ready.

As for Jones, he was being interviewed by several P5 schools all over the country at the time. Stop pretending like he was some out of the blue coach that was getting no offers.

As for Schiano, he is actually a good coach with baggage. He should have cleared all that up when it came out. He didn't, probably thought his word was good enough. Now he knows.

After the Schiano disaster, I 'm just hoping Peyton is a nice guest to have for special events and that's the extent of it. He's tarnished the star that he once held here, and the only way to repair that is to play nice and lay low (comparatively speaking for someone like Peyton).

Or go take a job with the Browns.

What planet are you from dude? That's all just wrong headed.

He has answered the coaching question many times. I don't think that is his passion at all.

And more than likely a lot of the facts are wrong. And there are probably a lot of facts that folks think are wrong that are right.

It is probably best that the full truth never comes out - I suspect if that happened there are more VFL's than Manning that you all would be hating on.
