Yeah the way he worded it made it seem as if they've given up on Maurer but we know Pruitt isn't polished in press conferences and he's learning on the fly in that departmentThat makes NO SENSE.
Wish he had simply said..."Brian's condition made it difficult to put him in a meaningless game. We'd rather give him as much time off the field as possible going into the last REAL games this season"
Pruitt is definitely no wordsmith but he’s also not dumb enough to call any game on the schedule “meaningless” in public.That makes NO SENSE.

That statement would put a target on Maurer's back for KY and Missouri. What are to 2 personal fouls in one game going to accomplish, taking Maurer out and QB next up.That makes NO SENSE.
