Pruitt on Bryce Thompson

Tennessee cornerback Bryce Thompson "got his bell rung" during Saturday's game against Kentucky, coach Jeremy Pruitt said Monday. Thompson will go through concussion protocol this week.
As for whether he'll play against Missouri on Saturday, Pruitt didn't know.
"We'll see," he said.

With it being a head injury, he's probably in concussion protocol. So we'll likely not see him next Saturday. Don't those protocols normally take at least a week or two to run the course?

For some of us older folks, I flashed back to a kickoff against UCLA about forty or so back. Kid was paralyzed and spent his initial recovery, months as I remember, 2k miles from home. They took him out through the east tunnel and most of us sitting there thought he was gone.

Great news for BT. Thank goodness.

BTW, UT's response, students, admin., and community to the UCLA kid is still one of my proudest times as a fan.

he moved his legs a bit when the kentucky training staff got there. He got knocked out pretty good.
