I haven’t seen anybody defend him “ no matter what “ all I’ve seen are some super sensitive people get their feelings hurt and then say if your not a head coach you really didn’t win a Natty no matter what you did only head coaches get to say that . It’s all just a little silly and if we don’t toughen up a tad I have a feeling it’s going to be a long ride ..

And some of the fan base would rather slurp up whatever these coaches throw out than actually pull for the team.

Been happening since Majors at least and it'll probably keep happening after Pruitt is long gone.

I'm more concerned with the teams effort as a whole than the dig on the fans. He's going to have to find ways to get the most out of this team, let go of the dead wait, or it's going to be a long road ahead.

There are 4 active coaches that have won national championships and if your name isnt saban, meyer, swinney or fisher, you aint one of them.

I guess that’s one way you can look at it . But if my name isn’t one of those and I can put a Natty ring on each one of my fingers when I wake up in the morning I’d prob disagree with you .

Jeez. There's a chunk of people in this fanbase that are so quick to feel insulted. So he didn't think enough people showed up and he said so. So what? "He just insulted us! Waaaaaaa!" Maybe it's just the facebook effect that's got everybody constantly spoiling for outrage. Or hell, maybe the butthurt brigade was always there and just didn't have the public platform they do now.

Bro, you can argue it until the internet runs out of space and exactly zero record books will be changed and none of them consider pruitt a nc winning coach. Your opinion has no influence on fact.

Ill also help out with the question i asked. Of all the Saban assistants to be head coaches the overwhelming majority dont turn out well. Kirby is the only one in the conversation of top teir right now.

Folks on here real sensitive. He’s honest, and tough, really important qualities that seem to be less and less common. It’s a free game, perfect whether, lasted 2 hours instead of 4. I don’t see any reason why the attendance couldn’t be up. He doesn’t want the fans sulking about last season anymore than he wants to the players to, and I dig it, personally.

I could see where he is coming from, " football is a religion in Tn", But half of them church pews seemed to be empty. I feel like the statement really was a shot at the team. I don't see why people on this thread are getting bothered by it.
