Pruitt not happy with Spring Game attendance

They were both. Look, I get where you're coming from. Pruitt may wind up being a great coach. He may wind up being a bust. I'm very much in the "show it to me" camp after the last 10 years too.
Having said that, assistants and coordinators are 90-95% of the on-field coaching and player development that you see in football (or any other sport). These guys, Pruitt included, coached their respective units to excellence, which propelled their teams to championships. Its how they got where they are. I like my chances much more with this guy than with a lot of other names we heard throughout the search.

No recruit is telling himself “you know I love that campus, the head coach, the position coach, the strength coach, the guys on the team, the facilities, the stadium, the hotties I saw when I was there.....I love how the coaches say they want to use me, they have the academics and field of study I’m interested in and when I went to the Florida game in Neyland and saw the 102k fans going nuts, man that atmosphere was crazy, it was insane, I’d love to play there in front of those fans in that stadium!!!

But what was up with that Spring game man? Only had 50 or 60 thousand fans? I don’t know man, gonna have to take my talents to UGA.”

Completely agree ... great coaches / leaders surround themselves with other great coaches . Anytime I think of this a certain Duke head coach comes to mind .

I really don't understand what he hopes to accomplish with that comment. To come off a 4-8 season and a debacle of a coaching search to have 65,000 come out he should be very thankful imo. It's easy to get ppl out when you're playing for nattys every year. It gets a bit harder of a sell when you go thru what this fan base has gone thru the past 10 years and he needs to realize that before he goes and sticks his foot in his mouth.

As ive said before, i personally think JP isba very solid coach anf am glad to have him. But calling him a nc winning coach is flat out wrong. Its nothing more than folks trying to convince themselves that we have hired the savior of vols football. In yhis case its especially silly becausr saban has proven he can win nc's regardless of who his assistants are.
But judging by the comments about the field performance,( couldnt watch due to work so going by the comnents on here) i would expect this rhetoric to get worse, as people try to convince themselves we are gonna be better than what we are leading up to season start.

Pruitt needs to shut the hell up and worry about recruiting and what's going on on the field.

Put a decent product on the field and fans will be there when it actually matters.

This is the same kind of crap that helped him wear his welcome out quick in Georgia.

Who cares? I personally love the hire .... almost two years ago I thought he was going to be the next great coach and I’m glad that we got lucky enough to get him.... that being said it doesn’t matter if any vol fine likes him or not.... it’s our job to support the team and him as much as possible to make us look as desirable a place as possible until their is a reason not too.

He was throwing shade at the HC because CJP dares to show some anger and emotion that always makes this society of "inside-voice" screaming snowflakes nervous--and took the time to immediately label him as a hot-head.

Do you live in a cave? Anyone who dares to raise their voice or show some anger/emotion is automatically labeled a threat and unstable...i.e., a red flag....

It's just stupid!

He is a NC-winning coach who was the DC for Bama in 2 NC games...what the heck about that do you not understand?

And HE led his defense to shut down UGA in the 2nd half of the NC game to get his team into a position to win...is that so hard for you to grasp?
