So in your world disagreeing with what someone said is whinning? Interesting take.
LolIts not the fact that we disagree that equates to whining, its the aggressive rate in which you have posted in this thread your viewpoint on the situation, and disbelief that anyone can have a different point of view. I'm OK with the fact that you didn't like Pruitt's comment. I can see that it has affected you on a deep level, and I truly hope you'll be alright.
**Equally interesting that in your world disagreeing with you means you are a coach worshiper :hi:
That's because you know how sensitive everyone is, he doesn't. I'm sure he thought we could handle it.
Guess he knows now. Maybe he'll start adding a few "is that okay sweeties"? at the end of his comments.
I've got a mother that's 75 with a fractured T11 and a fractured L5 I'm taking care of. Wonder if that would be a good enough reason not to go last Saturday for Pruitt?

Ome of the biggest red flags about Pruitt is that he is a hothead that shoots his mouth off a lot. I thought becoming a HC might humble him. Hopefullt the guy doesnt think he's actually Saban just because he's coached with him awhile. He's done absolutely nothing as a HC yet, obviously.
Aww heck, I'll answer it.
I think the answer is simple: if your life situation makes it so you don't think the coach was talking to you, he probably wasn't talking to you.
-- Live 5 hours away? He probably wasn't talking to you.
-- Going to your kids' ball games? He wasn't talking to you.
-- Caring for an infirm or ill loved one? He certainly wasn't talking to you.
And so on.
Don't forget, he put Vols fans into three categories, not two. Those who showed up, who he thanked. Those who had legitimate reasons for not showing, who he understood. And those who failed to show up without a legitimate reason to skip, who he questioned.
He intentionally didn't (and likely never will) define "legitimate" himself, because he knows each one of us can define it just fine without his help.
Bottom line is, those who are feeling guilty or defensive or put-out right now, those are probably more or less the folks CJP would put in category #3...because they're putting themselves there.
And a handful of them are really moaning a lot about it on these boards, heh.
So...take a big stretch here...was Pruitt referring to YOU? Were being honest here.
Butchna, I'm having fun with behr. I could give a ratz azz what Pruitt said.
If he wanted more there he should have let young kids be able to get things signed by the players.
One things for sure, if he's worrying about the fans and only been a head coach 3 months he's got alot of eye opening moments coming his way, especially coaching football at Tennessee.
My problem is that he apparently doesn't view that it is his job to inspire the players and the fans to be excited about Tennessee football. He would rather "blame" them instead of himself and the other coaches.
If Jones had said something like that - many on here would have been all over him.
I thought players quit on the coach??. Just last year that was a reason to bash Jones and the other coaches. Now it is reason to praise Pruitt.
Hopes he wins some games ... if not this will get very ugly mid-season.
