My problem is that he apparently doesn't view that it is his job to inspire the players and the fans to be excited about Tennessee football. He would rather "blame" them instead of himself and the other coaches.
If Jones had said something like that - many on here would have been all over him.
I thought players quit on the coach??. Just last year that was a reason to bash Jones and the other coaches. Now it is reason to praise Pruitt.
Hopes he wins some games ... if not this will get very ugly mid-season.
So the same players that quit on Jones (The guy that signed them) do the same with a new coach going a different direction that becomes an indictment on Pruitt. His job is to win football games. Jones supposedly inspired the players, had fan support for 4+ years and his azz got canned because he couldn't win.
It's funny how hypocritical coach followers get.
