I got very excited watching that defense last night. Like i actually started thinking that's what Tennessee's defense could look like in a year or two.

Pruitt will do no more than what Butch did here. Everyone who think otherwise isn't using their heads. They are using their hearts. We have maybe a .05% chance that CJP can win titles here.

How did you come to the figure of .05% chance? I’m sure you used your head right? Algebra? Calculus? Nah you pulled that figure out of your rectal cavity didn’t you?

Swinney played at Bama. Muschamp played at Ga and seems to coach everywhere but Ga. Spurrior plays at fla and coached at Carolina. Bill Battle played at Bama. Dickey played at Fla.

Maybe there should be a new rule that states that you can only coach where you played.

The last coach to win a national title at his alma mater was Fulmer. That was 19 years ago.

Good luck. I'm in the minority expecting a dawg win. That Georgia o line is clickin...the running lanes are wide open. Some runs by the Georgia backs were 20 yards downfield before they were even touched. If even one of the Georgia receivers can separate and get open fairly regularly creating balance It should be a very interesting game.

Yes, but you’re trying to compare OU’s 67th ranked defense against the #1 defense in the nation. Georgia is gonna lose by at least 2 touchdowns.

Bama wins by two touchdowns. Okie had Georgia beat. Young coach **** his pants under pressure. Got too conservative. Bama will stifle the run. Georgia will have to rely on a true frosh to pass them to a championship. Okie woulda been a better matchup. Bammers 31 to 13.

Jeremy Pruitt had no interest in interviews after Alabama defense dominates

I know there’s a lot of debate about him continuing to coach after accepting the HC job at Tennessee. Some hate it. Others respect it.

I think this says a lot where he is. If he was a Bamer through and through like so many believe, I would have thought he would have stuck around and enjoyed the win with the players and coaches.

I'm not going to read too much into it either way. The fact is, he staying to coach through the NC game, and that's the major thing.

I would prefer he be fulltime in Knoxville already, but in about a week he will be. So....(shrug)

Young coach, young family. We can both grow together. Perfect. I'm pumped.

The dude grew up in Alabama. He played high school ball in Alabama. He played for the University of Alabama. He coached high school ball in Alabama. He has coached at the University of Alabama three different times. How much more Bama can you get.

He started his playing career at MTSU.

Can't wait to see what additional coaches we purge from Bama & Georgia after the game. I would expect at least someone prominent from the S&C staff. Also, might get some bodies from Clemson but we mostly have our Defensive staff filled out.

I say offer Sam Pittman $1 million a year. We can always move Friend to another offensive position like TEs. That would piss off Cade Mays to no end and would be perhaps the best way to slow Georgia's upward trajectory.

BTW Pittman is the #1 or #2 recruiter in the nation. If beeutch would have kept just one coach when he came in, it should have been Pittman!

You know we already hired our ol coach?

Well....he has the opportunity to show the high school players at top programs what his defense has to offer in the 2 biggest games in college football. One beyond dominant performance down against the new hot team in cfb....now shut down Georgia's offense...show all the elite defensive talent what they can expect to be part of...and start building it the day after they smack the hell out of UGA.

BTW...can't wait to see how Bama blows up Georgia's OTs....for a local Knoxville reason...I'm just saying :dunno:

I was following along on a Bama message board (they love US btw) and was struck by how similar the paranoia is between the two fanbases. We have the trolls like Woo, implying Pruitt is a plant to infiltrate and destroy and the Gumps have hatched the idea that their all-time Emperor Palpatine (Fulmer) has crafted his AD legacy around hiring Pruitt to milk info to pass along to the NCAA...results be damned. :w00t:

Same idiots different laundry.

Yeah, but how much better will it be if Bama wins and claims their 400th National Championship? The bandwagon Bammers will be crawling out of the woodwork! That will make it another long YEAR. To me, Georgia is the lesser of two evils here.

Have to disagree. How will another championship for Alabama hurt UT? With the dynasty Saban has built, it’s just another drop in the bucket. Recruiting against Bama can’t get much harder. Win or lose, we will still have the same Bama to contend with. Little to no gain/loss with them losing/winning.

But then look at Georgia. They haven’t won a championship since 1980, and we are in direct competition with them for just about every recruit. A championship is going to solidify their status and launch them into the next level as a program. Don’t really want to deal with Bama and THAT for the foreseeable future. Lesser of two evils is a powerhouse Bama over a powerhouse Bama and the Dawgs coming of a national championship.

EDIT: The only way Georgia winning May play favorable to us is if it starts to put into question Saban’s ability to close and win moving forward. If the loss and losing his staffers throws them into a rut of a season next year, I could see where Georgia winning may swing the momentum back to the East of the conference, where we can pull ourselves out of the trenches by beating Georgia on a consistent basis.

I am tired of hoping other teams have to be weak for us to be good. Get and develop players and then compete and beat good teams. If you are a great coach and at Tennessee then you can win championships regardless.

I hope they beat Georgia....I live in Georgia, and I had to hear it first thing this morning. This will be a long week.

Me too.... ROLL TIDE all over a bunch of fair weather GA fans...even the Walmart down here jumped on the bandwagon...Georgia stuff was tucked away in the corner now they have a big ole cardboard statue of Smart and a canopy put up with all that Ga mess in it. That's why i love the VOLS, we are fans regardless. I am old enough to remember the guy that that camped out on the bill board sign in Kville until we won...

Hopefully low scoring on both sides considering our defensive coordinator is on Georgia.
