IF Pruitt is successful here, why would he not bolt for Alabama? No doubt Saban is gone within 3 years. Dabo not leaving Clemson. We may have set ourselves up for a big slap in the face. On the other hand, if he doesn't win here then Bama will not want him. Either way.

I hope we have that problem that Alabama wants him. But if he gets things rolling here why would he leave and follow a legend, other than $$$. Nothing he could ever do would be satisfactory.

Unless he builds something at TN worth staying for, he probably will leave/be removed at some point. This would be a problem with any hire. If they aren't excellent, they're not wanted, if they are excellent, they are highly coveted. Being wanted feels good and can be extremely lucrative. If he delivers the goods at TN, can he replicate this success elsewhere?

Sure am glad this has not been discussed previously multiple times on here in the past month. Here's a hint, the search function is your friend..

I hate the off-season....

So it’s impossible for him and his family to get comfortable and fall in love with another place and not wanna leave? You don’t know what Pruitt will do.

Conjures up memories of the Georgia stealing Dooley away from us threads.

I remember when Shoop came over--many worried that he would be a head coach within 2 years.
Let it play out without fretting over it.
Frankly, that's a good problem to have. It means the program is successful and coaches will be knocking down the door to come to Knoxville..

When Saban hangs it up. Then Alabama will probaly go after Dabo.

And yet here you are. It’s always funny when being a jackwad backfires on someone.

The chances of Pruitt being good enough here to be CONSIDERED by Bama is about as good as the chances of me piloting an F-14. Legally.

Why does everybody assume that the successor to Saban will be a Bammer? Saban isn’t. Their coaching search will start with the best. If Pruitt becomes that in whatever time frame Saban has until retirement, we can only benefit as a program.

Not happening unless Dabo turns them down first. They will full court press Dabo.
