Pruitt keeps his job if he wins out. Otherwise I think he needs to go. The probability of him winning out is about 0% chance. Even coaches like muschamp and McElwain at Florida still won games they were supposed to most of the time. So what keeps Pruitt’s job 3-7 with a VANDY win? I say nah, the writing is on the wall, gotta move on.

Do you realize that the Vols were prevented from having spring practice while several of their opponents got theirs completed prior to being stopped because of the virus. Do you also realize that of the 10 teams on the UT schedule several were rated in the top 10 and others were in the top 25. With the poor situation that Dooley and Jones left the UT program it was in the worst shape in the last 35 years. It required a total rebuild that would take 5 years before any progress was really made...look how long it took Clemson to rebuild and where they are now. The absolute worse thing that could happen now would be a coaching change. Pruitt is slowly adding players of SEC caliber...Jone left him with no speed and only one lineman above 300 pounds. The schedule change to all 10 SEC teams worsened chances of having a 7 - 5 winning record. Let's support Coach Pruitt...he will get us competitive again. Remember he has to play Georgia, Florida and Alabama every year. Eventually, we will get competitive with them again.

Florida has had a better team for 20 years. If either one of those coaches were still there they would be a dumpster fire as well. Thank goodness USC was dumb enough to hire muschamp.

Stop defending the indefensible. He does not deserve support for the games against Kentucky and Arkansas and his ineptness for having the Qb’s developed. He is out of his depth as H.C.

We're going to continue with this logic in Year 3 after Pruitt just got beaten by a first year head coach at Arkansas?! Have you listened to the man's comments in pressers after piling up these repeated historic-caliber losses? All the contextualizing is not helpful. Pruitt simply does not have it.

Posting this ass hat of an opinion should get you banned.

Kentucky, Arkansas. Research them, understand their roster composition and facilities. Once you’ve done that, reassess the above

Do you realize Pruitt obviously sucks?

It is not just the fact that Pruitt is losing games, it is the way that he is losing with such poor effort, play calling, same mistakes over and over on both sides of the ball. People are looking for progress, they want to see that we are getting better, receivers running better routes, QB throwing more accurate passes, team making more first down, getting better in the red zone, better open field tackling, better secondary coverage.

When you look at the fundamentals it is not getting better it is getting worse, Poor tackling, no pass rush at all, none. Where are the blitz's and DE pressure? We can't even stop those quick slants over the middle, and they run them game after game. How can that happen? One game, ok get it fixed. We can't fix it still a problem all season.

Sorry but in 3rd year this is on Pruitt.

Dabo won the ACC title and made the Orange Bowl in his 3rd full season.

He lost 6 games by 14 or more in his first 3 seasons.

Pruitt has lost double that by more than 14 in less than 3 full seasons.

Give it a break with the Dabo comparisons.

I think he just wanted to play a game of do you realize. It took me a minute to realize that all he wanted to do was play the realize game.

I think and it pains me to say this that Pruitt keeps his job this year regardless. Unless maybe they get best by vandy. I don’t know

But if they pull out an upset somewhere in the next few games, especially Florida he will def stay longer. Whether it’s best or not

If you can tell me why Arkansas should have beaten tn then I may be a believer.

Dude, Pittman has group of 5 level talent on his roster and look what they did to us and are doing in the conference in year one. Pruitt is a dumpster fire

Thanks to that timely contract extension, CJP ain't going anywhere this year even if he does lose out. Phil can just use the Covid's to cover his piss poor decision making for this season. That said, if he beats UF this year (he won't, btw,) Fulmer will probably give him another extension on the spot.

2021, if we go 4-8 with wins over a couple OOC cupcakes, Vandy, and USCjr, either Fulmer fires CJP or the University fires Fulmer and CJP. It is also entirely possible, if not likely, that we are stuck with both of the bums for another year and we can all enjoy the extra 4hrs every Saturday cutting the grass, walking the dog, being drug around the mall by our wife, or watching Saban win another Natty.

If I was a Bama fan I’d want Pruitt to stay at UT too.

Speaking just for myself, I don't care if we win out. I want the guy gone.

Im the exact opposite...i just want us to win..i dgaf who is coaching.

If CJP can turn them around and win out..keep him around. I doubt he can but i care far more about them winning than who is coaching.

I havent thought CJP was a good hire all along but i have rooted for him every game and will as.long ashe is wearing the right color of orange..

You’re blind if you just watched the past two games and think it’s ever going to improve from a 6-7 win team tops under Pruitt.
