Pruitt isn't naming QB

Game changing, transcendent quarterbacks seem to be a dime a dozen nowadays. Tua, Hurts, Fromm, Nix, Fields, Lawrence, just to name a FEW. The list goes on but I’m not gonna pretend to know many more big names than that. Question is, WHY CANT WE GET ONE TO COME TO UT?? Peyton Manning’s UT? Coaches don’t have a true eye for qb talent? Players don’t want to come here? Baffling

I’m not sold on Fromm yet as a game changer. He is surrounded by so much talent it’s hard to tell how good he really is. I think he’s more of a game manager from what I’ve seen.

Or the possibility exist that we have 2 great back up qb. We have not seen them play enough to tell how good they are. Regardless of what u think of maurer, he did lead the team to it's only score of the game and only played about 1 qtr against jg 3 qtrs

This is poor analysis. The result was 3 pts. He should have easily been intercepted before that fg.

Haven't seen enough of the other two to make that assumption. Can't be much worse than JG. Give Mauer the start and see what he can do. He gave us our only scoring drive against Fla.

We havent seen them enough. Regardless of our record, the fact remains we have experienced coaches on the staff, I have to believe they have a pretty good idea on the abilities of the backups at this point.

It is the coaches job to improve the ability of the players. They may not know what their job is...

This Saturday is when we find out.

What gives you the idea that Bailey gives UT the best chance to win if he was here?
It’s an opinion. Like yours with Maurer...just not dressed up as more than it is.

I’ll go with that. That’s true. I’m just not convinced HB is any better than what we have. Especially upon arrival. Not saying he won’t be but that would require time.
eh, we'll see, but there are plently of true freshman starting for other teams and having success.

The portion of the board that specializes in said hissy’s. The rest of us are prepared.

At this point I just want to see something, anything different then what I have seen the past 2 and a half years. Good or bad, I just cant stomach watching JG play another down in ORANGE. So if the backups are worse show me and let me see for myself, but trying to get me to watch the worst qb in the country try to play football is not working for me.

Knowing the ball will get there 60% of the time...short of the 1st down marker. Or thrown hard enough to demolish a condemned structure.

Well JG obviously isn't the future, so why not start developing the next man up now for next year. Continuing to start JG is like beating a dead horse. It's only holding us back.

There is a fine line between developing some guys and crushing them at an early developmental stage. UGA or Bama are the wrong teams to throw a qb into the fire.

All Pruitt said in presser was that he wasn't naming the starter, and therefore not giving UGA any scouting report on who to prepare for. He openly gave equal reps during the off week, which he should have. OF COURSE, tangential articles come out veering off what he actually said.

I really don't think GA. will care one tinkers damn who we start at QB. They will just go about their business.

98% sure the coaches are just sitting back and collecting a paycheck until they get fired and collect more money. Their past as coaches has not translated to anything tangible on the field.
