Does anyone really expect a better hire? I mean Kiffin bolts, we hire Doofus. Doofus gets canned we hire Botch. Botch gets canned we hire Pruitt.

We fans have to just accept the fact that the university of Tennessee doesn’t care about the football program. If Pruitt is fired, it will likely be another up and comer or small time coach from a weak ass conference. He will come in, win the press conference and 3 years later we will be pining for a new HC.

This is the worst situation we’ve been in the last decade. With Dooley in year three you knew it was a make or break year. Signs were there earlier but when things really started going south in 2017 you knew Butch’s days were numbered. Right now we have no hope of this ever getting better under this head coach while at the same time knowing Fulmer is going to give him 2-3 more years no matter what.

Let Fulmer resign.

Hire the youngest and brightest AD at a lower level school that has remarkable success year in-year out...like a North Dakota.

Fire this ENTIRE incompetent staff.

Let the AD hire the coach without meddling.

This experiment is a complete failure. Once again we failed in hiring a competent coach. I thought Fulmer would do better, I was wrong. If we truly want to win, then hire Freeze. Hire a proven winner. I‘ve been going to games since 1975 and have seen the good times and the bad, time to do something right for a change.

Indeed but we're stuck with him til '22 at least. Then what? Another bargain bin coaching hire and around the merry-go-round we go. Program is dead. May get back to consistently placing 3rd in the east within the next 5yrs, maybe beating UGA or FL or at least keeping it close in 10, and have a snowballs chance in hell of making an SEC title appearance in 15-20.

So utterly and completely depressing and yet at the same time true. Program has been driven into a ravine and exploded into flames.

We scored on 2 long TD throws against Bama.....Is that all we are allotted for the season? You are right...the worst offense I can remember ever seeing.

Man where do you start. Play calling is just terrible, where are the deep balls that give us a chance to score some points and at worst we get intercepted which is like a nice punt, no big deal. We are so afraid to take risk that we have no ability to score points. Boring, predictable play calling.

No power backs, where are the Travis Henry type power backs that wear candown a defense pounding the ball.?

As it has been said many times Pruitt is not the guy. To hire a head coach with no experience or track record as a head coach of a major SEC program is just plain stupid. On the job training is not going to work trying to rebuild a program.

It'a amazing to me how long UT fans will look through orange-colored glasses until the problem is painfully obvious. So many other schools have coaches perform well in their 1st and 2nd years. We've been hearing "youth", "somebody else's recruits", "doesn't fit his system", "not his players", etc. etc. Coaches are paid to win. P.E.R.I.O.D. If he ain't winning by the 3rd year (at the latest), he's not going too.

Happy for Pittman, he assembled a great coaching staff and it's showing.

He will get at least another season most likely two but I think we all know this is going to end badly. Pruitt is not the guy for the job and everybody can see it. It is what it is and the next couple years are going to be painful to watch.

That is the biggest indictment against this coach imo. He never gets control of that. His players show no fight when the other team plays harder.
