Former Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt has reportedly been hired as a physical education teacher at Plainview High School, according to Paige Dauer of WVLT in Knoxville. It is near his hometown of Rainsville, Alabama.

Pruitt’s NCAA infractions case stemming from his time at Tennessee recently reached a conclusion, handing him a six-year show-cause. Pruitt was the head coach at Tennessee from 2018-20, and his tenure ended when Tennessee self-reported an array of NCAA violations.

The ruling earlier this summer in his infractions case found Tennessee had committed hundreds of NCAA violations.

Prior to taking the Tennessee job, Pruitt had been the defensive coordinator at Alabama, Georgia and Florida State along with serving in a number of other roles at various college and high school programs.

If you had enough money to do whatever you wanted in life, what would you do? Travel? I actually think this is cool that he chose to do this. I get the hate and the jokes and Pruitt 100% deserves it, if nothing else for making me walk out of Neyland after the Georgia state fiasco...BUT, I met Pruitt on 2 occasions and he was awesome to my family

Know the place well, was on my route to hometown Knoxville during my Guntersville years. Hung a right there to get to I-59 MANY times after cruising up the Vestal Goodman highway.
