Pruitt HC , Lupoi as D.C. And Tee as OC ...

“Pruitt, an Alabama native and former Tide player who played under the tutelage of Alabama defensive coordinator Bill Oliver, has climbed steadily up the coaching ladder - first as a high school assistant for then-Hoover head coach Rush Propst before getting his foot in the door at Alabama in an administrative role as Director of Player Development. Upon his promotion as an on-the-field assistant coach in early 2010, his impact as a recruiter became quickly evident as he was the primary recruiter of record for current Alabama starter D.J. Pettway (then a four-star recruit) and current Baltimore Ravens' star C.J. Mosley.
Pruitt was named 247Sports' Recruiter of the Year in 2012 for his efforts in landing five-star running back T.J. Yeldon (in a highly competitive and publicized battle with Auburn) as well as five-star defensive end Ryan Anderson and five-star safety Eddie Williams. Current Tide star Reggie Ragland was also reeled in by Pruitt as the primary recruiter and his efforts in Mobile - long a hot-bed of football talent - also netted him current Tide starter Alphonse Taylor who was a one-time FSU commit.“

Jeremy Pruitt with Tee Martin could be the pairing of two of the most powerful recruiters in ALL of college football. One on offense. One on defense. This could turn out to be an extremely underrated coaching staff at just a glance.

We need coaching more than recruiting imo.

I’m expecting 7-5. We’re just not very good right now. We’ve got plenty of talent but nobody has developed.

8-4 was our best case scenario this year. We went 4-8.

Schedule is tougher next year and I would say 7-5 is absolute best case scenario. We will either be 5-7 or 6-6.

Not crazy about that. Tee basically ensures we gotta hire a QB coach. Having an OC that isn’t the QB coach hardly works out.

Tee has experience coaching QBs as well. Coached Newton and Tajh Boyd at his passing academy

So Tee, as a coordinator, is going to leave a great place as a OC, to come to a much worse job to work for a coordinator? Thar makes total sense.

Rather go after High Freeze.

No penalties or suspensions for 2018 as an assistant.

Rumor is he’s gonna be doing tons of radio/tv junket to start building his name back up.

Would be a killer OC.

Wow so some of you are actually excited about this? If this is true, this sucks badly. We will continue to be the joke of the SEC.

Bammer had a respectable defense and Auburn beat them with a passable offense, so that is no joking. Now, Pruitt, well, he prolly say "guys" ten times a minute when he's introduced, but the man is a real football coach. Defensive coach. Bammer's DC, been DC at Georgia and FSU.

Yeah, it’s definitely best case scenario. We had 3 completely winnable games that we crapped the bed in, this year, though. Florida, South Carolina and Kentucky were totally winnable.

6-6 is probably more accurate. I just want to see improvement next year.

He’s been a QB coach for one year. At New Mexico. 9 years ago.

Academy is completely different from being a qb Coach week to week.

Wow, didn’t even think of that. Interesting thought

There is no way that Tee is making a lateral move from USC to the Vols.

And Ya'll going to be sorry if Fulmer whips out Steele as the new HC.

Not one shred of proof that Pruitt has been Offered / Signed or Coming to UT.

I just don't believe Tee is coming if he isn't the HC. I read something about his wife having no desire to live in Knoxville. She is an LA scene kinda girl and she wants to stay there. Happy wife happy life.

He’s meeting with him again. There’s no point in having a third meeting if you aren’t signing an MOU.
