Pruitt has always had superior talent.

Every week I say I am giving my all to Tennessee. Every man has his breaking point. This is no longer enjoyable at all. I understand a top ten team vs a struggling non-ranked team. However, we degress continously. The defense is staying after it the best they can but absolutely embarrassing on offense. And here we go...back to ole # 2.. non-productive. 4th quarter here we go. Go Vols...long trip home back to Knoxville.

Like Maurer should have been the starter? Our fans....geez.

Chaney wasn't exactly dialing it up when Maurer was in.

True freshman against Florida in the swamp... That's tough.

Maurer is way too amped up.

How can it take “now” to understand? He sucks. His teams aren’t prepared, they have no discipline, and at times the play calling is strange at best.

The fact that a quarterback, that has never started a game, looks like a Senior against us. Thats about right for Tennessee football.

It's Saban's defense at Bama...He's such a control freak that assistant coaches don't get a chance to develop.

As we saw with Lyle, it’s imperative that the HC know how to DEVELOP players and not just recruit them.

Seriously question...how dumb does fulmer have to be to have sat down in an interview with Pruitt and determined this is the guy that we need to be the ceo of ut football? My god. Pruitt sounds like a 3rd grade dropout from the hills of northern Alabama.

Pruitt isn't a head coach.

Sucks that we had to hire him to find out, but he's not, and we are going to have to ride out the worst season in UT history, and another season with him before we start this process over again.

Kiffin for all his warts had gameplans to keep us in games we should have been blown out in (nearly besting Bama for example). Last couple coaches just roll out their schemes whether we had the talent to execute them or not instead of adapting to the talent and trying to scheme around it.

Pruitt seems to be recruiting real football players (unlike the last guy who pretended to be a coach) but I don’t think he will outcoach very many people. Until we are stocked to the brim, we won’t have a winning team.

Well the other finalists for the job were Mel Tucker and Kevin Steele. So probably not hard to stand out amongst that group.

Actually they haven’t won one since Pruitt left

You’re correct, I forgot after we hired Pruitt he stayed on to help Bama win another championship. UT was literally paying a coach to help out our rival. Should have told us a lot about Pruitt

So I hope Pruitt and the rest of them go and get some of that superior talent to play here - because we arent seeing it on the field today. Granted, this is a #9 ranked team but still.

Problem is we won't be stocked to the brim with 4 and 5* talent because they won't come to UT. They will instead go someplace they may have a chance to win.
