The game slowed so much for him that he still threw late and helped the team lose to GA state. Make sure to throw those interceptions into the stats as well as the whopping 16 TDs.

Damn its almost like all qbs do that. I recall Brady and Manning doing that after 10 plus years in the NFL.

we have some weirdos that expect perfection that no qb has ever achieved from JG.

There will be bad passes and int. That is any qb.

Also not the same thing was said as this is the second year in the system so he knows it much better. That was not true last year. This is what Pruitt was saying genius.

For some reason the game just has not slowed down for JG. It appears that he does not see the field well which I believe is really him just being slow to make a decision. If he could get over that I think he could be a QB.

Ya, how many OC's has he had to go through in his years at UT? 4!?! Hopefully we can get an Erik Ainge type senior year out of him.

A lot of things can be said in regards to JG's play . . . Late throws, stares down receivers, holds onto the ball too long, etc. But one thing stands out to me, he gets knocked down, literally and figuratively, and he gets up and keeps competing. He's tough and does NOT quit! Reminds me a lot of Clausen and Dobbs.

Is JG one of the greatest QB's in UT history, no not by a long shot but he IS one of the toughest and determined QB's we've ever had.

I want to this kid succeed in every facet of the game as well as life . . . JG is, after all, a VFL!

It sounds like we are in good hands whoever plays QB this year. It’s no secret that I’m a fan of JG. Without him last year we could have easily gone 4-8. Never under estimate the power of experience. I fully expect Harrison to get plenty of that this year given CJP doesn’t have to worry about eligibility. Between the two we are going to be a force to be reckoned with.

How is that the same quote? Are you ignorant or just stupid? It says extremely well from spring to fall. Looks like that means he practiced great that whole time.

But please go on. Who controls the ball after the snap? Who gave multiple interceptions and multiple close interceptions at the beginning of the season? Who threw the ball late or high the majority of the year?

I refuse to ever again "quote" a certain poster who lusts over JG...you can scroll up a few posts, but his previous post with putting JG in the same conversation as Manning or Brady is one of the most absurd posts I've ever seen.

Does anyone think CJP is gonna come out and say "Well Jarrett struggled to hit receivers in stride still and continues to under throw. He also is holding the ball too long and can seem to figure out a blind side blitz." ????

Even Coach Chaney made the comment that he expected improvement because he finally gets year 2 with the same OC, not those words but basically the same way you feel. We've got several couch potato coach fans who don't think that matters at all.

Could not agree more. Good kid by all reports. Tough as nails. A true VFL. If I ever meet him, he will not pay for a beer/coffee/meal in my presence.

That said - he just isn't a good SEC QB. I wish he was.

He’s pretty blunt. So I could see it. He’s also learning to take some heat off his fastball when talking about his players...head coach thing.

I don't think they all do it. Pruitt went the entire preseason his 1st year and only gave praise to the entire team as a group, never once propping up a player. He's still hesitant to praise just the player over the team. I personally think it's a good thing that both Pruitt and Chaney have hinted at improvement, you evidently believe otherwise and that it's just coachspeak. I wonder, do they just speak coachspeak when they coach the players?
