Liberty beat Syracuse, VaTech, and came within a whisker of beating NC State. The other night they beat the #12 team in the country. ....but you think that Vandy would beat them? Do you think Vandy would also beat VaTech, Syracuse, and NC State? I highly doubt this TN could have even stayed on the field with either Liberty or CC’s offense.

Pretty sure it's Cornbread is here next year, he will get destroyed on his show and the rock. A vast majority are sick of him

I’m just trying to read the tea leaves here, witch. You’re initial post said unless “he’s coaching in the playoffs.” My thought is Brian Kelly, makes perfect sense. We all know cornbread and his two ton staff are running it back in 2021. Is it going to be as miserable as 2020?

Phil Fulmer could’ve hired Mike DeBord as OC after Cutcliffe left. Mike DeBord with a very similar roster that we had at that time had just lit up Meyer’s Gators in the Citrus Bowl in his last game with Carr at Michigan. But he hired the wrong guy that didn’t fit the roster we had...gets fired...and it has been a train wreck all but Butch’s two 9-4 seasons (with Mike DeBord as OC)
How ironic the next football coaching hire Fulmer has made is the worst in school history, more double digit losses than Dooley and Jones combined, not competitive in a single rivalry game, and can’t even motivate to field a team with NFL talent to beat Georgia State. Yet he won’t pull the trigger. I thought Fulmer was going to make Tennessee Football a force again? I guess it was a farce he had in mind instead.

He followed up that 2018 Vandy disaster with the Ga State disaster, he should have been fired on the spot that night

Pruitt doesn't have a good staff around him yet. he is a first time head coach. he is putting people in the wrong place. he needs to build his staff around him before he can succeed. it's obvious when you watch the team play. do what you want with that. keep him or move on, but the limbo rn is a mistake. someone needs to make a statement letting folks know if he is coming back so everyone can get on the same page.

When have we irrationally fired coaches? The coaches who got fired deserved to get fired. I would say we’ve irrationally hired coaches.

I sit the fence with this one. I think we would still be underneath Florida and Bama, but still probably would have maintained dominance over the lesser teams.

I am still wondering who wanted the job before Pruitt was hired. It was turned down by several if I recall correctly.

Mike Hamilton helped a lot of teams in the SEC by firing Fulmer. I doubt Alabama dominates recruiting like they have since 2009 if Fulmer is going against them.
