Absolutely not as UT does not have the finances at present to fire any one with the cost required of around $19 million dollars and still paying Butch Jones for another month. The UT Athletic Department like every other college athletic department is in horrible financial shape due to lack of ticket money all caused by the virus. Pruitt is not going to be fired this year period. There will probably be several replacements within the coaching staff and what ever comes out of the investigation of the players receiving some sort of financial assistance which at present is substantially lacking of information and the two coaches that were absent for the Texas A&M game. It may take another 2 to 3 years to get the Vols competitive in the SEC again, but it will happen.

Here comes the wrath OP. All of these cool aid drinking casual UT fans that have watched three games in the last three years will tell you that you are being unrealistic and that UT doesn’t deserve any better than a 3 win season. We signed Pruitt to a 10 year extention and he will get to coach the team no matter how far he sets the program back. If you can’t see that it’s not if he will be fired but when, you have the mental competence of a 10 year old. GTFOH
