Many reports that Smart interviewed for the Auburn job that eventually went to Gus. Let me clear my point up. Who, besides us, has ever had any interest in CJP being their head coach? Doesn’t that alone make you pause for concern?Offer who? Coach Pruitt? if thats who you mean then your logic is flawed friend. The same argument could be said for Kirby Smart 3 years ago despite him being the DC for Bama for...9 years? Pretty sure he's doing ok now.
So the 31 year mark is where you draw the line. Gotcha.Buddy, I’ve been supporting this team for over 30 years. I’ve earned my fandom. Maybe you shouldn’t expect better than 30 point losses?
Not really considering every position he's ever been in he's succeeded mightily. As did Kirby Smart. Just because The GodFather noticed him first doesn't mean he is any less valuable. I understand where you're coming from but I just humbly disagree. Many reports that Smart interviewed for the Auburn job that eventually went to Gus. Let me clear my point up. I could argue so did Butch. 19 wins in two seasons at Cinci, as the head man, feels like success to me. Of course, IMO, the fact either of these guys ended being our coach is a giant indictment on the administration at UT. That’s the real problem. We will suck until that is fixed .Not really considering every position he's ever been in he's succeeded mightily. As did Kirby Smart. Totally agree but that's arguably the only reason we lost. Just vaguely recalling but they had 21 points off turnovers i think? My biggest belief is that a lot of our players were taught absolutely craptastic habits and it's hard for any human being to retrain their philosophy and way of doing things in such a short period of time. Aside from Banks loose hands, almost all of our first year players have been doing very well considering. Ty Chandler,Dom Woods Anderson, etc. I'm sure there's a few more but I'm not going to sit and try to recall off the top of my head. Most of the shortcomings where it really matters have been from players trained by Lyle. Kongbo,Richmond, and a few others.Unfortunately, you can't go back and ignore turnovers wish we could but we can't pick and choose what we want to focus on.
